New article outlining a comprehensive framework that categorizes different ways for reducing supplier emissions (#Scope3). Two key dimensions are used to give an overview of corporate interventions (see image): 1️⃣ Are interventions aimed at modifying suppliers' BEHAVIOUR (e.g., beliefs, attitudes, willingness) or do they aim more at changing suppliers' OPERATIONS (e.g., products, processes, technologies)? 2️⃣ Are interventions more COLLABORATIVE in nature (e.g., building mutual trust and shared goals) or are they more AUTHORITATIVE (e.g., based on power and control relationships)? As always these are analytical distinctions and real-life corporate practices work on a continuum, often reflecting a combination of the four quadrants. But it is a very helpful tool to gain an overview of possibilities in this space. In the end, relevant questions to ask are: Are current interventions by a company too much aimed at one quadrant? 📣 Launched by Professor Pinar Özcan at the Oxford Saïd Entrepreneurship Centre, Inspiring Female Founders is a new initiative that spotlights the experiences of female entrepreneurs in fintech, AI, food, fashion, and beyond. 🗣️ At London’s launch event, four influential founders: Maria Lema (Weaver Labs), Lucy Mullins (Circles/StepLadder), Shefali Roy (SDR Capital), and Jenny Tooth OBE (UK Business Angels Association) shared practical insights on resilience, securing investment, and building supportive networks. 📈 Despite stark inequities, just 2% of UK VC funding goes to female-led businesses, and only 20% of start-ups are woman-led. Can digital transformation be achieved through one strategic plan—a roadmap with defined steps—or is it a recursive process that requires constant adjustment over time? Our new paper, “Digital transformation as a multi-phase process: Organizational tensions and structural adjustments,” now published in the Journal of Business Research, explores this question through a longitudinal study of one of Sweden’s leading multi-business firms (referred to as SweX) and its major business units. [https://lnkd.in/duHAVm5f ] The study traces how digital transformation unfolded through organizational tensions, structural adjustments, and continuous adaptation, revealing that transformation is rarely a one-off initiative but an evolving process shaped by timing and interaction across organizational levels. We are very grateful to the three anonymous reviewers and senior Mariano (Pitòsh) Heyden, whose thoughtful feedback helped elevate the paper's process view and method section, and to Fábio Gama, Ksenia Onufrey, Thomas Magnusson, Viktor Werner, Karin Wigger, Anna Yström, Andrea Fried, Miia Martinsuo, Ulf Melin, who read and commented on earlier versions.
