Final reminder! Today, Windows Autopilot uses the Intune Connector for Active Directory to deploy devices that are Microsoft Entra hybrid joined. To strengthen security in our customers’ environments, we’ve updated the Intune Connector for Active Directory to use a Managed Service Account (MSA) instead of a SYSTEM account. The Intune Connector for Active Directory builds which use the SYSTEM account will be deprecated on June 30, 2025. Starting July 1, enrollments from old builds will be blocked. A few weeks ago, many people were puzzled by Microsoft's announcement of Recall, a feature that can take screenshots of your screen automatically. Not everyone like it, inlcuding me. The primary question Intune Admins had was: How can I disable it? With the latest Intune release, managing Recall has become more straightforward. There are now additional settings available for Windows AI, including the option to disable screenshot analysis. Be sure to explore these settings. The following information is very important: "By default, Recall is disabled for managed commercial devices. Recall isn't available on managed devices by default, and individual users can't enable Recall on their own." The Device Lock Screen Inactivity Timeout Issue: What You Need to Know One thing’s for sure: You didn’t configure a device lock screen timeout, and there’s no Intune device configuration policy that points to it. Yet the helpdesk is flooded with calls, and something is clearly enforcing that inactivity lock setting. The real culprit was hiding somewhere else entirely. It’s not a bug..... It’s a feature.
