Revolut appoints ex-SocGen CEO Frédéric Oudéa to lead Western Europe push #Revolut has named Frédéric Oudéa, the former chief executive of Societe Generaleérale, as Chairman for its Western European operations, marking a major step in the fintech’s European expansion strategy. The London-based #fintech, now serving over 60 million global customers, is establishing its Western Europe headquarters in Paris to complement its Lithuanian base. The company has pledged €1 billion in investment over the next three years in France, ramping up hiring and preparing to apply for a full French banking license. Oudéa’s appointment follows his 15-year leadership at SocGen, where he steered the bank through multiple crises and spearheaded digital ventures like BoursoBank and blockchain-focused SG-Forge. He will work alongside Beatrice Cossa-Dumurgier, Revolut’s CEO for Western Europe and a former BNP Paribas executive, who was appointed in June to drive regional growth. The move comes just days after Revolut launched a secondary share sale valuing the company at $75 billion, a sharp increase from its previous $45 billion valuation, underscoring investor confidence.
