In Brussels, we have our Structural and Mechatronics Engineering offices, where all our new programs begin and our workshops are equipped with modern

machines that produce complex metallic assemblies for aircraft and space launchers as well as advanced Thrust Vectoring Systems for space launchers.

SABCA Brussels is also the home to our "Unmanned Autonomous Systems" aka: the drones solutions unit!

Mission :

You will manage procurement and outsourcing in the field of production and non-production goods in accordance with the required specifications and procedures.

You will ensure the ideal stock level at the most favorable conditions and avoid production stoppages for supply chain reasons. You will implement policies and procedures as well as plan monitoring for your own category.

Tasks :

  • Category Management: Shapes and monitors required contract outcomes within its own category by managing day-to-day relationships with contracted service providers and internal contract managers, negotiating with suppliers on pricing and terms to define contract master agreements, and managing related processes. Flags and implements incremental optimizations within existing contracts.
  • Policies and Procedures: After approval, implements and monitors plans for its own category and implements the procurement strategy.
  • Flags and implements structural optimizations within existing and new contracts.
  • Procurement: Coordinates all sourcing activities in a category with high sourcing complexity and high impact on business continuity (e.g., key natural resources for the production process). Provides input for contract development for own category, manages associated end-to-end processes, flags discrepancies and challenges, and escalates them to contract owners as needed.
  • Data & Trend Analysis: Performs complex analysis (spending) on budget progress in multiple areas, while working under intermittent supervision. Conducts research using internal and external sources and selects relevant quantitative and non-quantitative information to enable analysis of key procurement themes and trends.
  • Stakeholder Management: Advises and challenges the company at the departmental leadership level regarding developments in its own category and related expenses, and coordinates and monitors end-to-end processes, requiring the ability to understand and influence others based on rational argumentation.
  • Project Management: Manages and delivers tactical (procurement) projects, typically related to medium to large tenders and/or optimization of procurement processes and systems.
  • Project and/or Program Management: Responsible for the strategic and efficient procurement of resources required for the successful delivery of a program or project and is the focal point for internal clients.

You will be responsible for :

  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards EN9100 and the environmental standard ISO 14001 ;
  • Transferring skills and knowledge to new team members to promote a continuous learning environment and mutual support.

Profile :

  • Possess a university degree or bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: purchasing, supply chain, engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of experience in purchasing, including at least 3 years of experience as a category manager or procurement officer.
  • In-depth knowledge of the market and procurement techniques

  • You speak perfect English and you are fluent in French and/or Dutch.
  • You have an active knowledge of MS Office, SAP.
