A great few days at Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona! 🌆 Throughout the event, European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) representatives engaged with city leaders and innovation actors at the European Commission’s booth, sharing how the iCapital Awards celebrate and empower cities driving impactful innovation across Europe. We also took part in conference sessions dedicated to urban innovation and ecosystem building, exchanging best practices with past and potential iCapital cities and exploring new ways to foster collaboration and sustainability at the local level. The EIC Board has welcomed the 2026 EIC WorkPprogramme as a key milestone in advancing Europe’s deep-tech and scale-up ambitions. On 4–5 November 2025, the EIC Corporate Partnership Programme connected 10 EIC-backed innovators in #agritech with Bayer at the EIC Corporate Day in Monheim am Rhein, building new collaborations to advance sustainable crop protection, soil health, precision agriculture, and digital innovation in farming.
