A mountain school rebuilt for a sustainable future. 🇬🇷 In northwest Greece, architects, engineers, and young professionals are bringing an abandoned 1955 school back to life. Guided by the Municipality of Agnanta and the craft collective Boulouki, locals are working together with respect for traditional craftsmanship and a focus on sustainability. 🪵 Using stone, wood, and lime, they blend ancient knowledge with modern techniques to restore this landmark. Once completed, the school will become a year-round hub for learning, practice, and exchange. Frasta School shows how small municipalities across the EU can strengthen their built environment while preserving local heritage. 🇪🇺 The European Parliament and the New European Bauhaus support projects like this, helping them overcome early barriers and reach their full potential.
