Статья посвящена научноиD деятельности доктора филологических наук, профессора Евгения Фёдорович... more Статья посвящена научноиD деятельности доктора филологических наук, профессора Евгения Фёдоровича Тарасова (1935–2024), выдающегося лингвиста и исследователя, чьи труды оказали значительное влияние на развитие этнопсихолингвистики и организационноиD психолингвистики. В статье анализируются ранние публикации Е.Ф. Тарасова, в которых он исследует национально-культурную специфику языковой коммуникации, взаимодействие речевых и неречевых компонентов, а также роль языка в когнитивных процессах. Особое внимание уделяется его попыткам синтезировать теорию речевых действий с философией языка, включая идеи Л.С. Выготского, А.А. Леонтьева и неогумбольдтианцев. Хотя работы Е.Ф. Тарасова тех лет и были адаптированы к господствующей в СССР идеологии, они содержат оригинальные концептуальные подходы, такие, как исследование «поля значений» и его соотношения с «полем смыслов», интерпретация социальных ролей в коммуникации. Эти идеи легли в основу новых направлений психолингвистики и продолжают вдохновлять современных исследователей. Автор делится воспоминаниями о совместной работе и дискуссиях с Евгением Фёдоровичем, акцентируя внимание на его интерпретации идей неогумбольдтианцев и влиянии классических трудов на его взгляды. Статья также описывает яркие эпизоды из жизни замечательного лингвиста, которые иллюстрируют его человечность и юмор, дополняя образ выдающегося учёного. /
The article is dedicated to the academic work of Evgeniy Fyodorovich Tarasov (1935–2024), Doctor of Philological Sciences, Senior Professor, a distinguished linguist and researcher whose works significantly influenced the development of ethnopsycholinguistics and organizational psycholinguistics. It analyzes E.F. Tarasov's early publications that explore the national and cultural specifics of linguistic communication, the interaction between verbal and non-verbal components, and the role of language in cognitive processes. Special attention is given to his attempts to synthesize the theory of speech acts with the philosophy of language, incorporating ideas by L.S. Vygotsky, A.A. Leontiev, and the Neo-Humboldtians. Although his works of that time were adapted to the prevailing ideology in the USSR, they contained original conceptual approaches, such as the study of the "field of meanings" and its relationship to the "field of senses," as well as the interpretation of social roles in communication. These ideas formed the foundation for new directions in psycholinguistics and continue to inspire contemporary researchers. The author shares memories of collaborative work and discussions with Evgeniy Tarasov, emphasizing his interpretation of Neo-Humboldtian ideas and the influence of classical works on his perspectives. The article also describes vivid episodes from this remarkable linguist’s life, illustrating his humanity and sense of humor, complementing the portrait of an outstanding scholar.

The article is devoted to the views of the famous French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu (1930-2002) ... more The article is devoted to the views of the famous French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu (1930-2002) on the essence of scientific creativity, the conditions of its organization and implementation, and their significance for modern ideas concerning a linguist’s professional activity. The authors analyze P. Bourdieu's publications, identify the factors influencing linguists' participation in the activities of scientific schools, its effectiveness, the formation of linguistic habitus, the role of symbolic capital of academic degrees and titles etc. Special attention is paid to the French thinker's reasoning about collective belief in science, imaginary independence of science, the strategy of false rupture, the degree of competition effectiveness in scientific research. The article polemically discusses preservation meaningfulness of scientific paradigm in historiographical works, reproduction of belief for the preservation of doxa, specific character of the scientific habitus. The authors emphasize the eurychoricity of Bourdieu's scientific discourse characteristics and the projection specificity of his assessments and statements into formation of future creators of scientific revolutions in linguistics.
Статья посвящена взглядам известного французского социолога Пьера Бурдьё (1930-2002) на сущность научного творчества, условия его организации и осуществления, и их значению для современных представлений о профессиональной деятельности лингвиста. Авторы проводят анализ публикаций П. Бурдьё, выявляют факторы, влияющие на участие лингвистов в деятельности научных школ, её эффективность, формирование лингвистического габитуса, роль символического капитала учёных степеней и званий и пр. Особое внимание уделено рассуждениям французского мыслителя о коллективном веровании в науке, мнимой независимости науки, стратегии ложного разрыва, степени эффективности соревновательности в научных исследованиях. В статье рассматриваются в полемическом ключе осмысленность сохранения научной парадигмы в историографических работах, воспроизводство верования для сохранения доксы, специфический характере научного габитуса. Подчеркиваются эврихорность выделенных Бурдьё характеристик научного дискурса и специфичность проекции его оценок и констатаций в сферу формирования будущих творцов научных революций в лингвистике.

Штайнталя на роль ученика и последователя В. фон Гумбольдта. Авторами использованы нарративный и текстологический методы исследования трудов В. фон Гумбольдта и Х. Штайнталя. Основной вывод статьи заключается в несостоятельности тезиса о миссии Штайнталя как внимательного интерпретатора и популяризатора учения Гумбольдта.
The article is devoted to the status of Humboldtianism as a direction in linguistic research of the 19th century and revision of H. Steinthal’s claims to the role of W. von Humboldt’s student and follower. The authors have used narrative and textual methods to study the works by W. von Humboldt and H. Steinthal. The main conclusion of the article is inconsistency of the thesis of Steinthal’s mission as a careful interpreter and popularizer of Humboldt’s teachings.

The purpose of the article is to identify the differences between aggression and aggressiveness, ... more The purpose of the article is to identify the differences between aggression and aggressiveness, evaluativeness and aggressiveness, and to identify the illocutionary structure of aggressiveness as a significant characteristic of online communication. The subject of the article is the representation of aggressiveness in the Internet comments containing indirect addressing of speech aggression. In these comments, the main role is played by the intention to cause moral damage to the addressee, who does not take part in a particular speech act, it is passive due to the objective reasons. The research methods include: descriptive-analytical, taxonomic methods, continuous selection method, contextual analysis, elements of conceptual and discursive analysis. The author concludes that aggressive comments can reflect three types of illocutions (self-expression, communion, destructive). However, destructive illocutions have an obligatory status for aggressive Internet comments with an indirect referent, while the remaining types are optional. Not only precedent units, but also lexical-grammatical, stylistic, graphic and visual means of representing aggressiveness have their own linguacultural specificity.
Цель статьи - определение различий между агрессией и агрессивностью, оценочностью и агрессивностью, выявление иллокутивной структуры агрессивности как значимой характеристики онлайн-коммуникации. Предмет статьи - репрезентация агрессивности в интернет-комментариях, содержащих косвенную адресацию речевой агрессии. В данных комментариях основную роль играет намерение причинить моральный ущерб адресату, который не принимает участия в конкретном речевом акте, пассивен в силу объективных причин. Методы исследования включают описательно-аналитический, таксономический методы, метод сплошной выборки, метод контекстуального анализа, элементы концептуального и дискурсивного анализа. Автор приходит к выводу о том, что в агрессивных комментариях могут находить свое отражение три типа иллокуций (самовыражения, приобщения, деструктивные), однако деструктивные иллокуции обладают облигаторным статусом для агрессивных интернет-комментариев с косвенным референтом, в то время как остальные типы являются факультативными. Лингвокультурной спецификой обладают не только прецедентные единицы, но и лексико-грамматические, стилистические, графические и визуальные средства репрезентации агрессивности.

concerning linguists' professional picture of the world. The authors analyze P. Bourdieu's publications based on the relevance of those factors that influence linguists’ professional activity, its effectiveness, a researcher's image formation, etc. Particular attention is paid to ten
theses reflected in the French thinker’s various monographs that are of specific value for the modern view of a linguist’s status, including the thesis of collective belief, struggle in the space of doxa, presumed independence of science, strategy of false rupture, competition in scientific
research and its negative impact on the quality of these studies, duality of the phenomenon of scientific paradigm and a critical perception of this concept, symbolic capital of academic degrees, reproduction of the universe of belief, and a very specific character of the scientific habitus. Despite the fact that P. Bourdieu formulated these ideas in relation to the current situation in the research and academic environment of the social sciences, their importance for understanding the processes that determine the formation of a linguist's professional worldview can hardly be overestimated. An additional argument in favor of the eurychoric characteristic of scientific discourse is Bourdieu's keen interest in the problems of language,
expressed, among other things, in his critical remarks on N. Chomsky’s concept.

Jakobson’s (1896-1982) biographical data on popular Internet sites that often serve as the main or most sought-after source of information on the history of Russian and foreign linguistics by young researchers in Russia. A narrative metacritical approach to the information presented on these platforms allows to visualize the extent to which prominent linguists’ images can be distorted, exemplified by one of the founders of the Moscow Linguistic Circle and the Prague School of Functional Linguistics. The main attention is paid in the article to the Prague period of R.O. Jakobson's activity.

Рассматриваются их участие в языковых обществах в Германии, переводческая и преподавательская работа в XVII-XIX вв., поддержка классиков языкознания. Материалом исследования послужили биографические публикации. Использован нарративный метод исследования. Особое внимание уделяется скрытым факторам влияния на научное творчество, вводится понятие «литофаническая историография», отстаивается идея о недооцененности роли женщин как со-творцов лингвистики.

The article is devoted to the metacritical component in the scientific heritage of Yu. S. Stepano... more The article is devoted to the metacritical component in the scientific heritage of Yu. S. Stepanov (1930–2012) and its significant presence in modern scientific research. Metacriticism is understood as a method of an analytical revision of established linguistic concepts, opinions, and assessments related to iconic personalities and their views. This method is included in the tools of narrative linguistic historiography, along with the study of the full linguistic heritage corpus created by specific authors in a strictly chronological order, identifying a broad scientific context, exploring the intellectual discourse of the era, a detailed acquaintance with the linguistic journals and collections of the period of interest, restoring the scientist’s library according to his / her writings, reconstructing his / her conceptual chronology, interviewing eyewitnesses of scientific events, students and opponents of key figures in
the specific scientific school, etc. In this sense, metacriticism significantly expands its original boundaries as defined in the middle of the 19th century in the course of revising I. Kant’s critical ideas, and is represented in the works by Yu. S. Stepanov
with his arguments about the accuracy of interpretations of classical concepts, terms and categories related to the philosophy of language in Russian and foreign scientific publications.

The article deals with modern Russian language didactics problems related to the presentation of ... more The article deals with modern Russian language didactics problems related to the presentation of linguistic and cultural specifics of foreign countries in Russian school textbooks. The key issue is the necessity, possibility and difficulty in choosing an ethical position by the textbook author in displaying mental and cultural identity exemplified by those of the German-speaking ethnic groups. A critical dilemma is the choice between political correctness and political realism/political incorrectness in selecting relevant cultural information, which in some cases leads to its rejection. As an important background for these arguments, the author takes into consideration the attitude to political correctness in modern European and American society, specifics of social discourses (political, religion, gender, and everyday life), and the degree to which their presence is acceptable in school didactic materials. The leitmotif of the article was A.V.Shchepilova’s thesis of a foreign language textbook for schools as a political tool.

Research problem: A. von Humboldt’s (1769–1859) role in the development of the concept of compara... more Research problem: A. von Humboldt’s (1769–1859) role in the development of the concept of comparative linguistics, created by his brother W. von Humboldt. Research material: correspondence by von Humboldt brothers in German and French in 1802–1835. Research Method: a narrative method that involves the maximum number of sources that allow illuminating the personal, creative and metacritical contexts of the outstanding linguists’ activities in the past. Special attention is devoted to A. von Humboldt’s approach to the Amerindian and South Pacific island languages, his ideas on the relationship between European languages and Sanskrit, and his contribution to W. von Humboldt’s empirical base in the field of research on these languages. Conclusion: it is noted that A. von Humboldt’s merits in the formation of comparative linguistics go beyond the publication of his brother’s linguophilosophical heritage, which has won the appreciation of world linguistics, but the theoretical contribution by A. von Humboldt himself to the formation of the first paradigm of modern linguistics remains undervalued.

Conditions and factors of postsecondary education in Canada, its impact on the individual students ' educational and professional pathways, their academic success and educational attainment as a basis for achieving the desired quality of life The Purpose of the Study is analyzing longitudinal experiments data carried out by Canadian researchers to identify the interrelation of the living standard and educational trajectories developed by graduates of different school types, as well as the data placed on the Longitudinal platform of education and labour market and the official website of the Canadian national statistical agency reflecting the socioeconomic situation of different groups of young people in Canada, their success in the given educational and professional environment. The Basiс Theoretical and Empirical Aspects of the Article: The article offers an analysis of a number of statistical longitudinal observations carried out by Canadian researchers on the situation of the country`s educational system, the impact of education in private schools on the Canadian youth’s further academic achievements and professional success in comparison with the situation in public schools, in particular; on the role of the educational level of students’ parents as a factor determining a subsequent professional success of the young Canadian generation; the actual financial conditions of the Canadian higher education, and the current dependence of a young professional’s living standards on a specific educational area.

The article investigates the phenomenon of cultural identity as a self-orientation of a group or ... more The article investigates the phenomenon of cultural identity as a self-orientation of a group or individual within the framework of cultural or subcultural categories, including ethnicity, nationality, language, religion, gender, race, social origin, health status, age, region of residence, social status, etc. Among the socialization agents and at the same time cultural translators, language occupies a special place in its inclusion in a complex system of relations as one of the sources of the individual’s cultural identity and direct socialization. An example of this relationship is the intersection of the linguistic and musical discourse of an era, analyzed in specific cases of linguistic personalities in times of the National Socialism in Germany – NSDAP members sympathizers, «ordinary» / «neutral» citizens, internal opposition, victims of the regime. Their existential circumstances under National Socialism led to the phenomenon of a multiple, or cross-cultural, identity reflected in the musical preferences of specific social groups representatives and in the musical discourse of this time. The involvement of this important discursive material in the analysis of linguistic personalities’ existence under the conditions of National Socialism is an example of a discursive expansion that is designed to significantly complement the standard repertoire of a traditional discourse analysis. In addition to the fact that the cultural identity of the time was multiple (manifested, for example, in a variety of the same person’s musical preferences – as a member of the party and a front-line soldier at the same time), stable qualities of some cultural identities can be attributed to a compilation. An NSDAP member’s compilative linguistic identity was formed both on the basis of the party song canon, as well as at the expense of borrowings from various sources, first of all, – the proletarian subculture from that national socialists quite often borrowed melodies of working class songs, changing their texts, for example, «dropping» some discursive markers of racism in quite vindicative texts. The article considers specific examples of such borrowings and analyzes musical characteristics of the linguistic and cultural identities of a frontline soldier, an ordinary citizen and victims of the regime.

Since the mid-1990s, a system of Russian language proficiency levels has been developing and bein... more Since the mid-1990s, a system of Russian language proficiency levels has been developing and being described in correlation with the European CEFR scale, thus helping introduce test forms of control in teaching Russian as a foreign language. This made it possible to integrate the RFL system into the international educational area, to raise the Russian language status as a means of international communication and to give a new impetus to the development of the entire linguistic and didactic paradigm. The emergence of a new version of CEFR in 2018 requires joint efforts of TORFL developers and creators of the Pushkin Institute certification testing system in order to update and improve the federal testing system in the Russian language, as well as to identify new ways of further developing the Russian language testing system a whole. The article presents the results of the Pushkin Institute analytical project and related proposals for the TORFL optimization as well as preliminary implementation results of the Pushkin Institute distant testing system "Russian Test".

The author discusses the problem of ethnocultural salience as a specific characteristic of the re... more The author discusses the problem of ethnocultural salience as a specific characteristic of the representation of cultural information in Russian educational publications on foreign languages, which has both implicit and explicit comparative character. The article presents two main blocks of ethnocultural information in educational publications ("big" and "live" country studies), examples of filling these blocks in modern German textbooks for Russian schools are presented, as well as some prospects of ethnocultural "deepening" into the instructional material of the textbooks is outlined. Such perspectives include introducing gender-marked language materials, focussing on data from modern comparative cultural studies, information about the national character, the picture of the world of native speakers of Russian and foreign languages, discussing data of Lewis' cultural typology, information on the proxemics, kinesics, the nation's predominant mode of action, information on the accepted ethical behavior patterns in different age groups. The article also draws attention to the need for a certain correction of the material depending on certain student teams' specifics, cultural traditions of Russian regions, religious characteristics of the given school collective.

In this article, for this purpose, the so-called Goethe’s ‘gender canon’, embracing specific Goethe’s works created between 1774 and 1821, was analyzed. This period of Goethe‘s creativity is a subject of fierce controversies in contemporary literary criticism, but specifically this period proved to be the most important for Platen’s formation as a minority poet.

Германист с международной известностью, представитель исследования содержательной стороны языка (Sprachinhaltsforschung), направления, более известного как неогумбольдтианство, он был самым значительным учеником и последователем основателя этого направления Йоханна Лео Вайсгербера (1899–1985), длительное время руководил Институтом общего языкознания Вестфальского университета имени Вильгельма (Мюнстер, ФРГ).

Подчеркивается высокий жизненный уровень и качество жизни населения страны. Приводятся результаты сбора статистических данных и опросов канадского населения, проведенных в 2011–2013 гг. и связанных с уровнем и качеством
жизни населения. Рассматриваются факторы уровня и качества
повседневной жизни в трудовой, бытовой и языковой сферах. Особое внимание уделяется состоянию образования, здравоохранения, обеспеченности жильем. Исследуются, в частности, социолингвистическая ситуация в Канаде, проблема национальных различий и социального расслоения в канадском обществе, социально-экономические аспекты жизни канадцев, в том числе факторы, определяющие качество жизни иммигрантов с учетом особого положения Канады как страны, привлекательной для иммиграции. Подробно излагается специфика и многообразие языков и их роль в повседневной жизни канадцев.

Статья посвящена взглядам известного французского социолога Пьера Бурдьё (1930-2002) на сущность научного творчества, условия его организации и осуществления, и их значению для современных представлений о профессиональной деятельности лингвиста. Авторы проводят анализ публикаций П. Бурдьё, выявляют факторы, влияющие на участие лингвистов в деятельности научных школ, её эффективность, формирование лингвистического габитуса, роль символического капитала учёных степеней и званий и пр. Особое внимание уделено рассуждениям французского мыслителя о коллективном веровании в науке, мнимой независимости науки, стратегии ложного разрыва, степени эффективности соревновательности в научных исследованиях. В статье рассматриваются в полемическом ключе осмысленность сохранения научной парадигмы в историографических работах, воспроизводство верования для сохранения доксы, специфический характере научного габитуса. Подчеркиваются эврихорность выделенных Бурдьё характеристик научного дискурса и специфичность проекции его оценок и констатаций в сферу формирования будущих творцов научных революций в лингвистике.
The article is devoted to the status of Humboldtianism as a direction in linguistic research of the 19th century and revision of H. Steinthal’s claims to the role of W. von Humboldt’s student and follower. The authors have used narrative and textual methods to study the works by W. von Humboldt and H. Steinthal. The main conclusion of the article is inconsistency of the thesis of Steinthal’s mission as a careful interpreter and popularizer of Humboldt’s teachings.
Цель статьи - определение различий между агрессией и агрессивностью, оценочностью и агрессивностью, выявление иллокутивной структуры агрессивности как значимой характеристики онлайн-коммуникации. Предмет статьи - репрезентация агрессивности в интернет-комментариях, содержащих косвенную адресацию речевой агрессии. В данных комментариях основную роль играет намерение причинить моральный ущерб адресату, который не принимает участия в конкретном речевом акте, пассивен в силу объективных причин. Методы исследования включают описательно-аналитический, таксономический методы, метод сплошной выборки, метод контекстуального анализа, элементы концептуального и дискурсивного анализа. Автор приходит к выводу о том, что в агрессивных комментариях могут находить свое отражение три типа иллокуций (самовыражения, приобщения, деструктивные), однако деструктивные иллокуции обладают облигаторным статусом для агрессивных интернет-комментариев с косвенным референтом, в то время как остальные типы являются факультативными. Лингвокультурной спецификой обладают не только прецедентные единицы, но и лексико-грамматические, стилистические, графические и визуальные средства репрезентации агрессивности.

theses reflected in the French thinker’s various monographs that are of specific value for the modern view of a linguist’s status, including the thesis of collective belief, struggle in the space of doxa, presumed independence of science, strategy of false rupture, competition in scientific
research and its negative impact on the quality of these studies, duality of the phenomenon of scientific paradigm and a critical perception of this concept, symbolic capital of academic degrees, reproduction of the universe of belief, and a very specific character of the scientific habitus. Despite the fact that P. Bourdieu formulated these ideas in relation to the current situation in the research and academic environment of the social sciences, their importance for understanding the processes that determine the formation of a linguist's professional worldview can hardly be overestimated. An additional argument in favor of the eurychoric characteristic of scientific discourse is Bourdieu's keen interest in the problems of language,
expressed, among other things, in his critical remarks on N. Chomsky’s concept.

is narrative historiography. Special attention is paid to hidden factors of influence on
scientific creativity, the concept of «lithophane historiography» is introduced. It is argued
that the role of women as co-creators of linguistics is underestimated.
Проблемой исследования является роль женщин в формировании лингвистики. Рассматриваются их участие в языковых обществах в Германии, переводческая и преподавательская работа в XVII-XIX вв., поддержка классиков языкознания. Материалом исследования послужили биографические публикации. Использован нарративный метод исследования. Особое внимание уделяется скрытым факторам влияния на научное творчество, вводится понятие «литофаническая историография», отстаивается идея о недооцененности роли женщин как со-творцов лингвистики.

Подробно излагается специфика и многообразие языков и их роль в повседневной жизни канадцев.
