The article presents methods of reckoning years in the Old Believers' volumes from the collection of the monastery in Wojnowo (in Varmia and Mazury, Poalnd). At the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century in the imprints of volumes the reckoning 'from the creation of the world' was dominant, yet in places distant from the Old Believers' centers in Russia, in Edinoverie centers and in everyday life of the 'old rite' followers one can notice a new trend – reckoning years 'from the birth of Jesus Christ'. This is a sign of a social trend, known as 'innovation within tradition'.
