🚢 The #WestCapella is a state-of-the-art 6th generation dual activity drillship, built in 2008 by Samsung in South Korea. It’s one of Seadrill’s most travelled rigs, having operated in Nigeria, Cyprus, Gabon, Aruba, Malaysia, Indonesia, Mozambique, and South Korea - a true testament to its versatility and reliability. ⚙️ In 2017, the West Capella was upgraded with a Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) package and an Integrated Riser Joint (IRJ). Over the years, he has lived and worked in Singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Dubai, London, and now Houston. His career has grown from Drilling Engineer and Rig Manager to Director of Operations Asia Pacific, and most recently into his current corporate role as a director leading drilling and operational excellence. 💪 Through the highs and lows of the last 20 years, one thing has remained constant: the people.
