Big news! We’re partnering with Knower Tech, a leader in digital advertising solutions, to develop an AI agent that accelerates the media buying process and enhances campaign performance. Acting like an experienced marketing analyst, the agent takes in a campaign plan, makes smart adjustments, and inputs all required information into the relevant ad management platform. Human analysts can then make final tweaks before approving the campaign for launch. This collaboration reflects how applied AI can streamline complex workflows, reduce costs, and empower people to focus on strategy and creativity. Together, AltaML and Knower Tech are shaping the next generation of AdTech. This week, I experienced one of the most surreal moments of my journey so far…. Delivering a guest lecture on Responsible AI to GRADUATE students at the University of Alberta, representing AltaML Standing in front of a master’s-level Applied Machine Learning class, taught by Marcin Mizianty Mizianty, was both humbling and empowering. These students have been diving deep into the practical side of ML, from data processing to clustering, dimensionality reduction, and soon, neural networks in CV and NLP. As an undergraduate student myself, being able to speak to them about how we approach Responsible AI (RAI) at AltaML was incredibly meaningful. At AltaML , RAI isn’t just a checkbox, it’s a philosophy that shapes how we design, build, and deploy AI systems. Whether it’s ensuring fairness in data, transparency in models, or accountability in outcomes, we believe AI should always enhance human decision-making, not replace it. I’m grateful to Graham Erickson, Matthew Wilson, and everyone at AltaML for giving me this opportunity to represent our mission to build AI responsibly, with impact and integrity. And a big thank you to my colleague Reuben John for his incredible support throughout the preparation and delivery of the session. What struck me most was the curiosity in that room, the kind that reminds you why Responsible AI matters. It’s not just about smarter systems, it’s about building trust in the technology that’s shaping our world. To stand on the other side of the classroom not as a student this time, but as someone contributing to the learning, was a full-circle moment I’ll never forget. Here’s to more conversations where innovation meets responsibility!!!! #ResponsibleAI #AIForGood #MachineLearning #AltaML #EthicalAI #UniversityOfAlberta #Leadership #Innovation

For energy and industrial organizations, one of the biggest challenges isn’t the lack of data. It’s the overwhelming noise that comes with it. When signals are buried in complexity, human judgment risks being diluted instead of sharpened. In a recent discussion with Emerj, AltaML’s Rick Garza shared an important perspective: AI isn’t here to replace expertise. It’s here to enhance it. By filtering through noise and tailoring insights to individual decision-makers, applied AI empowers people to focus on what matters most. This balance—AI for scale, humans for judgment—is at the heart of responsible adoption. #AppliedAI #OperationalIntelligence #EnergyInnovation #EnterpriseAI

Cutting through operational noise is one of the biggest challenges in energy and industrial sectors. How can enterprises ensure human judgment stays sharp while leveraging AI at scale? Rick Garza, Senior Account Executive at AltaML, explored this in a exclusive discussion with Emerj on best practices for energy leaders deploying AI at their organizations. The biggest takeaway: AI doesn’t replace human judgment — it enhances it, tailoring insights to each individual representative across the value chain. As Rick explains: "It all comes down into, not necessarily replacing the human judgment, but enhancing that potential and the ability, and differentiating the noise from that right, for each individual representative. For what it's about. It's about making it customizable. But the power of AI, right, is allowing large amounts of data to be processed individually and customized to each individual person throughout the value chain, all with the end goal in mind." – Rick Garza, Senior Account Executive, AltaML Leaders in energy and industrial operations can explore the full article to understand how AI can optimize decision-making while keeping human expertise central: https://lnkd.in/dZfjx3_i #OperationalIntelligence #AIinIndustry #EnterpriseAI

Earlier this month, we released the 2024-2025 GovLab Impact Report, highlighting how applied AI is transforming public sector services across Alberta. One powerful example: our collaboration with Alberta Health Services. By consolidating 14 years of cancer centre data, GovLab and AHS are building machine learning models to better predict workload and workforce needs. These insights will help reduce wait times, improve patient care, and support a more resilient health system. Says Dr. Paula Robson, Scientific Director at AHS: “Our GovLab tenancy has rapidly upskilled our team and accelerated progress beyond what we could have achieved alone.… We have demonstrated that health system data can be used innovatively and ethically to shape the future of healthcare.” 📖 Explore the full GovLab Impact Report: https://lnkd.in/gGvAceey
