Celebrating National Francophone Immigration Week! Immigrants are a source of strength, wealth, and pride for Canadian communities. Francophone immigrants are one of the many newcomer groups who contribute greatly to enhancing the cultural, economic, and social fabric of Canada. Francophone immigrants assist in revitalizing small Francophone communities in rural areas, and are oftentimes filling in gaps in critical services necessary to serve the Francophone community such as in hospitals, clinics, and schools. Many Francophone immigrants start local businesses which energize their neighbourhoods, offering new perspectives which strengthen the diverse fabric of Canadian society.
