This year, three teams of 30 dedicated WSP volunteers are continuing our longstanding partnership with Bridges to Prosperity, building trail bridges in some of Rwanda’s most isolated regions.  They will support three builds, including the Nyiravugiza Suspension Bridge which will span 101 meters across the Ruhoga River, providing safe, year-round access for over 3,000 local residents. For surrounding communities, these bridges mean reliable access to school, healthcare, and markets—empowering families and unlocking new opportunities. The Raglan wind farm project in Nunavik was built around Inuit community involvement and knowledge, combining collaboration, respect and innovation. From the start, Inuit communities were at the heart of the process. We used immersive tools like 3D models, interactive maps and videos narrated in Inuktitutt to ensure local voices were heard and understood. The result was a project that not only reflects Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, ancestral knowledge rooted in respect, cooperation and environmental stewardship, but also delivers tangible benefits: reducing GHG emissions, improving energy resilience, and supporting a more self-sustaining future for the community.
