The Biomedical Data Translator is an open-source knowledge graph-based system designed to integrate and harmonize vast, complex biomedical datasets to accelerate translational science and patient care. In the journal Clinical and Translational Science, the Biomedical Data Translator Consortium announced the initial public release of the powerful system. "Translator's strength lies in its integration of diverse knowledge sources, standardized semantics, and multiple reasoning methods," said Dr. Gwênlyn Glusman, co-lead author of the paper and Principal Scientist at Institute for Systems Biology (ISB). "It is designed to support hypothesis generation and exploration of existing knowledge, saving significant time and effort figuring out what is already known, and what could be established next."
