Preserving the Earth’s resources is vital, and we’re taking active steps to improve the circularity of our resources. We’ve partnered with ArcelorMittal Europe to introduce XCarb® – a low-carbon steel made with 100% renewable energy and at least 75% recycled steel – into our Kabeldon power distribution system. This project has significantly reduced the manufacturing carbon footprint of our cabinets, showing the impact sustainable sourcing can make. Learn how we’re working to embrace circularity, from sourcing to responsible end of life: https://lnkd.in/ekxdKBJc

The Middle East has built the largest solar farm in the world. Here's why ⬇️ According to the International Energy Agency, solar photovoltaics (PV) will account for around 80% of the global increase in renewable power capacity over the next five years – and that shift is clearly underway in the Middle East. In Abu Dhabi, the Al Dhafra PV2 Solar Project is the world’s largest single-site solar farm. Spanning 20 square kilometers and delivering enough clean energy for 200,000 homes, it's allowing Abu Dhabi to reduce CO₂ emissions by 2.4 million tons each year. Our technology is at the heart of the project – using advanced automation and digital solutions to keep operations efficient, reliable, and sustainable. As the UAE and wider region diversify their energy mix, projects like Al Dhafra PV2 highlight how innovation and collaboration are helping to create a smarter energy future. From waste to worth: the circular advantage 🌍 When Novelis upgraded the cold rolling mill at its Swiss plant in Sierre, we ensured nothing went to waste. Obsolete motors and transformers were transported to Thommen Group's nearby recycling facility, where they were given a second life. The impact: ➡️ Up to 99.4% of critical raw materials from motors recoverable through specialized processes ➡️ Remaining 0.6% directed to waste-to-energy plants, where it is safely converted into heat or electricity ➡️ Resources are preserved, helping customers to reclaim material and economic value in innovative ways This is circularity in action – turning sustainable practices into competitive advantage, while safeguarding the resources that power our future. Located 80km off the Scottish coast, the Green Volt project is set to become the first commercial-scale floating offshore wind farm in Europe. We are proud to be partnering with Aker Solutions on this pioneering initiative, which marks a key milestone in the decarbonization of the UK energy system. As part of the partnership, we will be integrating automation and telecommunications across the offshore platform and onshore substation, and managing renewable energy integration into the grid through advanced power and energy management systems. When fully operational, the facility will generate 1.5 TWh of renewable power to the grid annually – enough to power over half of a million homes. Learn how our electrification and digital technologies are helping renewable industries outperform: https://bit.ly/47pQUEj
