Goodbye 👋 and thank you Open Compute Project Foundation Global Summit, San Jose Julia, Gaëlle and Nicholas were at OCP Global Summit in San Jose, California, where all the key players in the data center industry reiterated the crucial need for better #liquidcooling. Key learnings: - Fungibility was a prominent keyword. Interchangeability and standards are embraced as key to quick scaling, allowing faster time to market (i.e., "time to first token") to hyperscalers and data center builders. - "Liquid cooling is foundational to everything we do at scale" direct quote from keynote and sessions. Liqui cooling for chips but also for busbars and many other servers and racks elements - we are looking at 1MW racks in 2027 (perhaps earlier?) 🤯 and liquid cooling solutions need to keep up. What does even #apheros mean? 🤔 Born from the Greek aphrós (foam) and the Latin ferrum (iron), the name translates to “iron foam”, a straight reference to our patented metal foams powering advanced #cooling. And as a bonus link, Aphrodite herself, goddess of love and beauty, emerged from sea foam. 🫧 All these led our co-founder and CEO Julia to the name we have today: apheros.
