In celebration of the first International Watchmaking Day, here’s a little insight on why 10.10. was chosen as the date. In watchmaking, 10 past 10 is the go-to time for displaying watches. It gives the dial a symmetrical look, and creates a smile, perfectly framing the logo. Those with keen eyes may notice that at Breitling, our watches are set to 10:08. Why? Because when the minute hand advances past 12, it moves the hour beyond 10. So, for the sake of balance and perfect symmetry, we use 10:08. Nevertheless, we wish everyone a happy International Watchmaking Day—a day that celebrates the craft of keeping time, the one constant that links us all. #worldwatchday

Breitling’s Head of Product Design, Pablo Widmer, accepted the award for “Best Value for Complication Watches” at Temporis International Awards 2025 on behalf of the brand. The honor recognized the Navitimer B19 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph, powered by a movement launched last year to celebrate Breitling’s 140th anniversary—doubling down on the perpetual (excuse the pun) commitment to innovation. Bringing together a perpetual calendar complication with a chronograph is a feat very few brands attempt. For the few that have, prices soar into six figures—with all those timepieces being manually wound. The Navitimer B19 sets itself apart: an automatic perpetual calendar chronograph with a formidable 96-hour power reserve, a platinum bezel, and a price point below 30,000 Swiss Francs. As an independent brand that balances form and function, sometimes venturing into the unexpected is the way to go. At Breitling, pushing boundaries has been happening for over 140 years—here’s to the next 140!

It was great to join Maximilian C. Schmitt and The Sustainability Circle to launch season two of The Sustainability Leaders Show Podcast. Check out this episode to learn more about our sustainability approach at BREITLING!
How do you actually make a supply chain traceable and at speed? Technology helps. Blockchain, data systems, and roadmaps all play their part. But as Aurelia Figueroa explains, none of it matters if the partners in your chain don’t share the same urgency and values. That alignment is what turns traceability from theory into reality. In this episode of our podcast, Maximilian, co-founder of TSC, sits down with Aurelia Figueroa, Chief Sustainability Officer at BREITLING, to explore how the brand is redefining luxury through sustainability. From building traceable supply chains to launching first-of-their-kind products, Aurelia shows how sustainability has become a source of both credibility and competitive advantage. Topics covered include: - Turning transparency into a driver of value in the luxury industry - Building supply chain traceability - Balancing tradition with bold moves as a first mover - Aligning leadership and stakeholders through double materiality - Creating authentic products that accelerate both impact and sales 🎧 Watch the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/dJkkxDbp
