What if tiny #robots could travel through our bloodstream, detect diseases, and deliver drugs where they’re needed? At the Medical Microsystems Lab, Professor Simone Schuerle and her team are bringing this vision closer to reality. Through interdisciplinary research that combines robotics, engineering, and medicine, they develop magnetically controlled microrobots that make diagnostics more accurate and therapies more targeted – for example, by navigating through blood vessels to treat #cardiovascular diseases.
