Tethys Robotics closes EUR 3.5M pre-seed funding for their underwater drones! With this money, Tethys can further develop its flagship platform, Tethys ONE, to make hazardous underwater operations safer and more accessible. Much of our society relies on underwater infrastructure, such as oil and gas platforms, hydropower plants, offshore wind farms, energy pipelines, or internet cables. Maintaining and securing these is a challenge in turbulent and murky waters – unless you have the right, automated tools! Tethys graduated from Venture Kick in 2024 and joined the Kickfund portfolio in January 2025. Congratulations to the team, and to Redstone, Zürcher Kantonalbank and ETH Foundation for the good investment!
We’re proud to share a major milestone: 𝗧𝗲𝘁𝗵𝘆𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 €𝟯.𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗲-𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 to advance our mission of automating hazardous underwater operations. We want to thank our partners at Redstone, alongside Zürcher Kantonalbank, ETH Foundation, Kickfund, and Venture Kick. Their support reinforces our vision of building the next generation of underwater systems that can take on the toughest and most critical challenges below the surface Our flagship platform, 𝗧𝗲𝘁𝗵𝘆𝘀 𝗢𝗡𝗘, is a compact hybrid underwater drone capable of both remote and autonomous operation. It is designed for safety-critical missions such as offshore inspections, explosive ordnance disposal, and underwater search & rescue. With this funding, we’ll continue refining our technology, growing our talented team, and scaling production to meet global demand for safe and efficient subsea operations. 👉 Learn more about how we are advancing underwater autonomy at Forbes and Gründerszene - articles in the comments.
