From Months to Momentum: Redefining Product Development for A BOLA How do you build a new, feature-rich mobile app for an iconic sports media brand like Portugal's A Bola? The traditional answer involves large teams and a timeline stretching over many months. We’re taking a completely different path! We are pioneering a vibe coding approach: an AI-augmented development process that we believe is the future of product development. The progress is transformative: In just 2.5 weeks, the new A Bola app is already far ahead. Key functionalities are implemented with much product love, including user onboarding, full content integration, profile management, a live match center and so much more. This velocity is powered by a new kind of synergy: 👉 Lean, Focused Teams: We kicked off with an intense innovation sprint in Lisbon with the A Bola team. Now, just 2.5 weeks later, the core development is being driven by one PM and one developer, achieving what would traditionally require a much larger team. However, this also means every single person is crucial to success 👉 Empowered Product Management: One Product Manager is driving the development directly, using AI tools to "vibe code" the application himself. This allows him to instantly translate product vision and user needs into functional code. 👉 Quality at Speed: It`s all about smart speed. A dedicated developer works alongside the PM, ensuring the AI-generated code meets the highest standards for quality, security, and best practices. This new methodology isn't magic. It requires a PM with a deep understanding of the product and the ability to guide the AI with detailed, technical prompts. The result, however, is a development process that is dramatically faster, leaner, and more powerful.
