Two key takeaways from the discussion: 🔍Self-awareness is strategic. Personality similarities and differences can become major derailers. Board and C-level leaders must proactively understand their own behavioral drivers and anticipate friction points. 🔁 Learning is a continuous discipline. Effective Board and C-Level dynamics evolve through reflection on how they work together – from meetings and norms to decision-making processes, role clarity, and after-action reviews. “Boards mostly operate as a group – they work individually, together. C-levels are, or aspire to be, a team – working in interdependence and constant interaction. This difference creates distinct rhythms, incentives, and identities,” noted Toegel.
