Period Freedom is a Necessity Every girl deserves period freedom. Recently, our team visited Miselele, a community in the Tiko municipality that is home to many low-income families. While it may seem easy to afford sanitary pads, financial constraints make it difficult for many young girls. As a result, they often resort to using unsafe materials, which pose significant health risks. To address this issue, we provided sanitary pads and health education to clarify common doubts and dispel myths about menstruation. Over 70 adolescents and young girls benefited from this initiative, and the activity concluded with a sense of gratitude and fulfillment. The SAS Foundation is a charity-driven organization dedicated to improving the lives of community members.

To enhance the quality of life, our team prioritizes the needs of the community. We conduct a community needs assessment that allows us to understand exactly what the community requires and how we can assist them. Without this assessment, our impact may not be fully realized. #needsassessment #charitywork

🦋SAVING SARAH PROJECT🦋 Our team aimed to educate young girls about the effects of poor hygiene during menstruation. This often-overlooked issue is crucial, as inadequate hygiene can lead to various health problems, including itching, discomfort, lesions, odors, and other reproductive system issues. Many young girls are unaware of these risks and tend to underestimate the importance of proper hygiene. To support their menstrual health, the SAS Foundation also distributed sanitary pads to these young girls. #SASFoundation #charity #menstrualhealth #Adyg

Food security is a vital aspect of our efforts. The little we have can make a significant impact. Sharing items that can help create a pot of soup brings smiles to our faces and a sense of fulfillment for a job well done. Let's join hands to alleviate poverty by assisting individuals in our community. #Charity #FoodSecurity #WFP #WorldFoodProgram

I am indeed happy that I made up my mind to attend the Oncology Precision Conference that held at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University If Buea in March 2025, which brought together diverse speakers and an inquisitive audience. I learnt that Children could have cancers that are not hereditary. I also related this to blood donation and how youths can help save lives of cancer patients. An amazing experience indeed, to our speakers Jatutu Pambi Dr. Fleury Augustin Nsole Biteghe . Wil Ngwa Glenda NKeng Nkongho Albert Abbo Wakili Thank you. #Acingaccessibilityforall, Save a Soul Fondation Cameroon thank you for putting this together. Through my committed work with Make Them Smile Foundation Cameroon we will contribute to sensitize about health issues thus improving SDG 3. #cancerprecision #SDG #awareness

As part of our goals which is to increase maternal and child health care, we are increasing access to health care services. Resource limitations have highlighted the critical role of traditional birth attendants, who are essential in managing pregnancies but may encounter challenges with complications. To enhance access to health services, we are actively supporting pregnant women. For example, Miss Balemba, who is seven months pregnant, has recently registered for her first antenatal care (ANC) session, marking an important step in her journey toward a healthy pregnancy. Let's join hands and increase access to maternal health care services. #maternalhealth #ReproductiveHealth #motherandchildcare

The discussion on "Disparities in Breast Cancer Diagnosis, Treatment, and Care in Sub-Saharan" inspired the #PrecisionOncologyCam25 initiative. We are proud to have partnered for this event. It was indeed a great conference. Global Health Catalysts thank you for the opportunity. Highlights were made on the importance of Health Equity, driven by Mr. Albert Abbo Wakili and eProf. Wil Ngwa from Harvard/Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Fleury Augustin Nsole Biteghe presented on targeted immunotherapy for Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC), while Dr. Glenda NKeng Nkongho focused on utilizing local resources and global partnerships to enhance precision oncology in Cameroon. Key insights from Mrs. Jatutu Pambi and Dr. Kifem Vincentia emphasized the need for psychological support and addressed challenges in cancer diagnosis and treatment. Our Hero of the Day, Mr. Ngwa Desmond, a cancer survivor, shared his inspiring journey, highlighting the urgency of engaging in oncology efforts in Sub-Saharan Africa. Given the rising cancer burden in the region, we emphasized the need for tailored approaches in cancer care, advocating for early detection, personalized treatments, and collaboration among health workers to improve outcomes. #PrecisionOncologyCam25 #BreastCancer #CancerCare #BreastCancerAwareness #PrecisionOncology #GlobalHealth #PediatricCancer #HealthcareInnovation #CancerResearch #PublicHealth #PersonalizedMedicine

It's a small gesture, yet it carries profound significance. In line with our organization’s mission and the Sustainable Development Goal of ending hunger, we shared a meal with 50 homeless individuals in Douala. This event beautifully marks the start of our year, reinforcing our commitment to ensuring that every person enjoys access to a decent meal at least once in their lifetime. We welcome opportunities for funding and partnerships that resonate with our vision.
