🎉Excellent news for Moldova’s rising generation of filmmakers, musicians, and artists! 🇲🇩Moldova is set to join the Creative Europe family in January 2026. 🇪🇺Today, the European Commission adopted the decision to sign and provisionally apply the agreement enabling Moldova’s participation in the EU’s flagship programme for the cultural and creative sectors. ❗️This marks a key milestone in deepening EU–Moldova cooperation in culture, media, and cross-sector collaboration. The agreement is expected to be signed in September 2025, with provisional application starting from that moment. 🎭🎤🎬This is a defining moment for Moldova — and for Europe’s cultural space. Moldovan creators will bring fresh voices, new energy, and rich traditions into the heart of European creativity. 🇪🇺🤝🇲🇩With the EU by their side, Moldova’s artists, producers, and cultural operators can develop and test innovative, sustainable projects, rooted in local heritage and ready for international stages. ✅Young Moldovans are already shaping the future of Europe through programmes like Erasmus+, DiscoverEU, and Horizon Europe. A great encapsulation of the Latvian regulator ethos by Deputy Governor of Latvijas Banka, Santa Purgaile as the Latvian Fintech Forum gets underway today: “We dont want fintechs to be shooting stars - spectacular for a second and then gone. We want satellites: stable, useful, and here to stay.” The level of support that the #fintech sector has from the government was clear, with the attendance of the finance minister and central bank governor as well as other key regulators and ecosystem players emphasising the goals for #Latvia as a European Fintech hub. They all spoke coherently about the mechanisms they’re putting in place to support the sector, alongside a regulatory culture of accessibility combined with strong risk management.
