- Das MagnifiScience Centre (MSC) ist ein nach dem Science-Center-Konzept gestaltetes Ausstellungshaus in der pakistanischen Stadt Karatschi. Es wird von einer gemeinnützigen Stiftung betrieben, gezeigt werden Ausstellungsgegenstände, um das Interesse an wissenschaftlichem Denken, Bildung, Wissen und wissenschaftlicher Methodik zu fördern. Der überwiegende Teil der Ausstellungsstücke ist interaktiv ausgelegt und fordert damit direkt zur aktiven Auseinandersetzung mit der Thematik auf. Diese Interaktivität ist besonders für Kindern geeignet, erreicht aber auch Menschen aller anderen Altersgruppen eher als herkömmliche dokumentarische Museumskonzepte. Das mehrstöckige Gebäude nahe dem Hauptbahnhof an der I. I. Chundrigar Road, dem Geschäfts- und Finanzzentrum der Hafenmetropole, wurde im September 2021 geöffnet. Gemäß seiner Vision „Wissenschaft für alle (Science is for everyone)“ fördert das MSC die wissenschaftliche Bildung durch eine interaktive, erlebnisorientierte und informelle Art, die die Neugier zu wecken und kritisches Denken und Problemlösung zu fördern beabsichtigt. Ein informeller und integrativer Ansatz will Barrieren in der MINT-Bildung im Land beseitigen, insbesondere für Menschen mit körperlichen Behinderungen oder Seh-, Sprach- und Hörbehinderungen. Die interaktiven Ausstellungsstücke, die überwiegend vor Ort hergestellt wurden, ermöglichen es den Besuchern, sich selbständig mit verschiedenen wissenschaftlichen Konzepten und Ideen auseinanderzusetzen und den wissenschaftlichen Kontext im Alltag zu verdeutlichen. Im zentralen Innenteil des Gebäudes wurde ein Mangroven-Ökosystem angelegt, was die ökologische Bedeutung dieser Feuchtlebensräume entlang der pakistanischen Küste erklärt. - The MagnifiScience Centre (MSC) is an independent science center in Karachi, with a mission to develop among the populace an interest in scientific thinking, scientific literacy, and scientific methods through engagement with interactive exhibits and programmes. The MSC’s multistorey building, located in the City Railway Colony of Saddar, opened to the public in September 2021. Following its vision "science is for everyone", MSC promotes scientific literacy through experiential informal learning channels which spark curiosity, and encourage critical thinking and problem-solving. The MSC aims to remove barriers to STEM education for the public, particularly for marginalised communities and differently abled persons. The Science Centre features over 200 interactive exhibits that enable visitors to get a hands-on understanding of different science concepts and relate them to daily life. - Le MagnifiScience Center (MSC) est un centre d'exposition conçu selon le concept de centre scientifique dans la ville pakistanaise de Karachi. Géré par une fondation à but non lucratif, il propose des expositions pour promouvoir l'intérêt pour la pensée scientifique, l'éducation, les connaissances et la méthodologie scientifique. La majorité des expositions sont conçues pour être interactives et invitent ainsi à s’immerger activement dans le sujet. Cette interactivité est particulièrement adaptée aux enfants, mais s’adresse également aux personnes de tous les autres groupes d'âge, et ce plus facilement que les musées classiques. Le bâtiment de plusieurs étages est situé près de la gare principale sur I.I. Chundrigar Road, le centre commercial et financier de la métropole portuaire, et a ouvert ses portes en septembre 2021. Conformément à sa vision "La science est pour tous", le MSC promeut l'enseignement des sciences de manière interactive, expérientielle et informelle, qui vise à éveiller la curiosité et à encourager la pensée critique et la résolution de problèmes. Une approche informelle et inclusive vise à éliminer les obstacles à l'éducation STEM dans le pays, en particulier pour les personnes handicapées physiques ou celles qui ont des déficiences visuelles, de la parole ou de l'ouïe. Les expositions interactives, dont la plupart ont été réalisées sur place, permettent aux visiteurs d'explorer de manière indépendante divers concepts et idées scientifiques et de clarifier le contexte scientifique dans la vie quotidienne. Un écosystème de mangrove a été créé dans la partie intérieure centrale du bâtiment, expliquant l'importance écologique de ces habitats humides le long de la côte pakistanaise.
