In Wädenswil, Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn SZU AG has commissioned Daimler Buses Schweiz to implement the charging infrastructure for the Rütihof depot – with up to 43 charging points and 13 eCitaro buses planned for operation by 2026. #Repurpose and #Recycling – a second life for high-voltage batteries and recovering raw materials with #OMNIplus! ⚡🌍 Once their first life ends, high-voltage batteries are repurposed, reducing environmental impact and reusing valuable materials. We aim to reduce the carbon footprint of our products, and by 2039, all new vehicles and production processes will be CO2e-neutral*. When the high-voltage batteries reach the end of their life cycle, we recycle them to recover raw materials, partnering with established recycling companies to ensure a high percentage of materials are reclaimed.
