Meet Wattson - Thomas Built Buses’ first all-electric Type D school bus. 🚌🔋 Built on the proven Thomas Built Buses HDX2 platform and powered by Accelera’s 14Xe e-axle, Wattson combines the motor, gearbox, and power electronics into a single, compact unit. This results in smoother driving performance and fewer mechanical parts, which means less maintenance and fewer service disruptions. Major Agreement for a hydrogen future! 📝 Daimler Truck AG, HHLA Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG, and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to form a partnership with the following goals: ➡️ Explore the development of a reliable and cost-effective supply chain for green liquid hydrogen (LH2) via the Port of Hamburg for distribution across Europe. ➡️ Enable the import of liquid hydrogen from hydrogen-producing countries to Germany, reinforcing Hamburg’s role as a hub for sustainable energy logistics. ➡️ Join forces and bring complementary expertise to the table: hydrogen infrastructure technology + network logistics provider + global commercial vehicle OEM. This partnership underscores the strategic importance of liquid hydrogen for the energy transition and the transformation of European industry. 👉 Looking ahead: the partners will assess the logistical requirements for transshipment and onward transport by road and rail over the coming months. The initiative is open for further companies and institutions to form a consortium that spans the entire hydrogen value chain. Dresden City Cleaning Services relies on the Mercedes-Benz eEconic. 🚛🔋♻️ ‘Team Orange’ uses the all-electric Mercedes-Benz #eEconic in daily city operations. Like the diesel #Econic, the electric version features a low cab with full standing height thanks to the DirectVision concept – combining excellent all-round visibility with freedom of movement inside the vehicle. Sensor-supported systems such as Sideguard Assist 2 and Active Brake Assist 6 enhance safety in dense urban traffic. In line with its special focus on urban use, the eEconic’s electric drive offers a range of up to 150 km* – more than enough to cover the daily workload of refuse collection. Thanks to fast charging, the batteries can be charged from 20 to 80 % in just over an hour at up to 160 kW. 💡 Did you know? The actual range is highly dependent on driving behaviour, the application profile and the type of bodywork, among other factors.

When the world’s largest aircraft no longer takes to the air, they get a lift from one of our Western Star Trucks. 💪🚛 In May 2025, the 76,000-pound (34,5 tons) aerial firefighting titan "Philippine Mars", one of the last of its kind, was retired and relocated to the Pima Air & Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona. The epic 150-mile (241 km) journey was made possible by utilizing a Western Star 49X, a truck known in the industry for its strength and durability. The operator raved about the #49X saying it offered great visibility and the best turning radius he’d ever experienced, essential for maneuvering the massive load through challenging intersections and narrow roads. Mercedes-Benz Trucks recently handed over the first of three new Mercedes-Benz Arocs Extent trucks to MTB GmbH. ⭐️🚛 ➡️ Our special model, limited to just 100 units, was developed specifically for demanding construction site transport applications and combines robust construction with state-of-the-art technology and a distinctive design in dark chrome and matt weather gray. ➡️ The vehicles are available with a choice of Euro VI diesel engines: OM 470, OM 471 (3rd generation) or the powerful OM 473 – all of which are designed for heavy-duty use and high efficiency. ➡️ Multimedia Cockpit Interactive 2 comes as standard, including a high-resolution 12-inch instrument display and an optimized touchscreen for intuitive control of many vehicle functions at the touch of a button or voice command – including direct access to construction-specific options such as auxiliary drives and advanced truck navigation with Predictive Powertrain Control (PPC). #DaimlerTruck #MercedesBenzTrucks #ArocsExtent

The first battery‑electric intercity bus from Daimler Buses GmbH: meet our Mercedes-Benz eIntouro. 🚌🔋 Here are three quick facts about it: ➡️ It comes with up to two battery packs with a maximum capacity of 414 kWh, enabling a range of up to 500 kilometers without recharging, depending on driving style, topography and weather conditions. ➡️ Two lengths are available: the eIntouro at 12.18 meters long, and the 13.09-meter eIntouro M. As such, seating variants from 50 to a maximum of 63 seats are covered. ➡️ Its batteries are based on lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cell technology, which is characterised by a particularly long service life of up to 15 years. In addition, over 95 % of the installed capacity can be used with LFP technology. 💡 Bonus fact: the batteries and many of the high-voltage components in our new #eIntouro have already been successfully installed in the battery-electric Mercedes-Benz #eActros600 long-haul truck. #DaimlerTruck #DaimlerBuses
