🌍🍃 As climate change and biodiversity loss accelerate, Nature-based Solutions (NbS) are emerging as a game-changer. In a recent podcast, David Diallo founder of goodcarbon and Mareike Hussels, Business Development Manager at Triodos Investment Management, share how NbS can capture carbon, boost biodiversity, and support local livelihoods at the same time. 📈 The business case is strong: companies can meet net-zero goals by purchasing high-quality carbon credits from restoration projects, channelling private capital to where it matters most. As Hussels notes, NbS deliver a range of ecosystem services beyond just carbon, which is increasingly valuable for investors and communities alike. 🤝 Challenges regarding market standards and financing remain, but with new technologies and stronger partnerships, scaling NbS is more possible than ever. It's a collaborative effort, as Diallo says.
