He always keeps a cool head and remains balanced. At 3 p.m., it’s coffee time – a daily ritual before he gets back to work with renewed focus. ☕ Perhaps he also draws his serenity from his love of travelling and the time he spends in nature. Yesterday, our colleagues from Jung von Matt SPORTS took to the stage at the It Matters conference, organised by Weischer. In an interesting panel discussion, Robert Zitzmann (Managing Director at SPORTS) and Sailer, Thomas (VP of Brand Marketing for Central Europe at adidas) shed light on many interesting facets of today's sports marketing world. 💫 Takeaways: - Global brands can increase their local relevance by carefully considering the characteristics of a club, city or region. Only then will you be able to connect with fans and people emotionally and sustainably. - Agencies and brands in sports marketing typically share a deep passion for what they do, enabling them to create an atmosphere that fosters long-lasting collaboration from day one. - Brands like adidas are visible everywhere around the globe. This makes consistency a key success factor, but local marketing teams and their agency partners should never be completely stripped of their autonomy – a principle that adidas understands and implements impressively. The team had a great day, enjoying lots of interesting discussions and insights from like-minded people in the industry. A door that only opens every 25 years. A passage that absolves all sins. And now… even pineapple on pizza is forgiven. 😇🍍 Domino's Pizza Waikiki is officially pardoned.
