Finland meets #NRW: Smart business opportunities ahead 🌐 This week, the investor seminar “Business Opportunities in North Rhine-Westphalia for Finnish Companies” brought together Finnish companies and industry experts from NRW in Helsinki. The representatives from NRW showcased why the federal state is Germany’s industrial and innovation hub, with a focus on digitalization and smart manufacturing. The Finnish company Neste shared insights into its recent market entry in Germany and explained why now was the right time to take that step. Connecting economies, creating opportunities: NRW and Türkiye 🌍 North Rhine-Westphalia and Türkiye have enjoyed a close economic partnership for decades. Around 1,100 Turkish companies are based in #NRW, and many local firms view Türkiye as a strong partner and a promising market, especially in the energy, logistics and technology industries. In collaboration with the DEİK - Foreign Economic Relations Board and the German-Turkish Economic Council (DTWR), #NRWGlobalBusiness hosted the first “High Level Business Round Table NRW-Türkiye” in Düsseldorf bringing together leading companies and decision-makers from both regions. Discussions with Minister President Hendrik Wüst, former Federal President Christian Wulff, Nail Olpak, Mehmet Ali Yalçındağ, Ahmet Başar Şen and Felix Neugart focused on supply chains, mutual investments, energy partnerships as well as new opportunities in technology and infrastructure. There is a strong dynamic to deepen economic ties and develop new cooperation projects that will create value for both regions.
