🌍 INCiTiS-FOOD at Synergy Days 2025! We were thrilled to take part in Synergy Days 2025 in Rotterdam alongside projects FCI4Africa, FoodSafety4Africa, and STREAMING EU AFRICA. From 21–22 October, our coordinator and co-coordinator presented how INCiTiS-FOOD is transforming African city-region food systems through circular agri-food technologies and Living Labs, and our mission to improve access to nutritious, safe, and affordable food. 🐟🌿🐛 The event brought together a vibrant community of innovators, digital hubs, policy-makers and agri-food stakeholders, proving once again that collaboration is key to building sustainable food systems. 🤝 A huge thank-you to our partner projects who shared the booth with us, and to everyone who stopped by, exchanged ideas, and contributed to the discussion. 💡 Exploring new funding opportunities! Last week, our partner from Foodscale Hub, Aleksandra Tolmacev presented different funding opportunities to the INCiTiS-FOOD consortium. 🌿 Besides discussing funding needs and experiences of INCiTiS-FOOD beneficiaries, we have touched upon public funding opportunities for universities, research organisations, and SMEs. Various national, regional, and private funding sources have been explored for both European and African partners. Additionally, different private funding support options were investigated (eg. Venture capital, private equity) to further enhance market entry. Funding opportunities like these are essential, as they provide necessary resources needed for innovative ideas to grow and make a lasting impact. 🌍 INCiTiS-FOOD at the “Urban Food Action Plan: Why and How to Invest in African Urban Food Systems” On October 13th, 2025, INCiTiS-FOOD’s co-coordinator Emmanuel Benjamin took part in the AfriFOODlinks, our sister project, conference in Milan, Italy.
