🎉 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗸 𝗟ø𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 – 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗧𝗨 🎉 After nearly 42 years of dedicated work, Associate Professor Hans Henrik Løvengreen is stepping into a well-deserved retirement. Throughout his remarkable career, Hans Henrik has inspired countless students with his creative teaching methods – often using quirky gadgets and even borrowing toys from his daughters to make complex topics easier to grasp. Yes, he’s even thrown coconuts in the name of science! Hans Henrik has also been a pioneer in space technology at DTU - Technical University of Denmark | DTU Compute. From the very beginning, he played an important role in developing Denmark’s first student satellite – DTUSAT – a tiny CubeSat measuring just 10x10 cm – collaborating closely with DTU Space and sharing his vast software expertise with students. At his farewell reception a week ago, a room full of current and former colleagues gathered to celebrate his achievements and wish him and his family all the best. The good news? We’ll still see Hans Henrik around! As Emeritus, he will continue contributing to student satellite projects, DTUSat, ensuring his knowledge and passion keep inspiring future generations 🚀 Thank you, Hans Henrik, for everything you’ve done for DTU and beyond! #dkforsk

At DTU Compute, technology and people work hand in hand to create a better future. This is not just a vision but our daily reality. We are dedicated to shaping the digital future with people at the centre. Our core research areas - mathematics, data science and engineering, and computer science and engineering – are the foundation of all our research activities and educational programmes. We take responsibility for the digital transformation and focus on vital digital agendas for Europe: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Chip design, and Cybersecurity. Our research provides crucial insights in a world marked by geopolitical tensions, where digital resilience becomes increasingly essential. We foresee a future where digital technologies not only enhance technical solutions but also drive sustainable innovation and strengthen democratic values. 🚀 DTU at Digital Tech Summit 2025 - Tech, Trust & Security in Focus What a fantastic two days at Øksnehallen! We were proud to join the summit alongside DTU colleagues working at the forefront of AI, robotics, cybersecurity, and autonomous systems. Some of the showcased projects featured autonomous marine systems, drones for search and rescue, robotic ecosystem monitoring, neuro-robotics, and more. It was great to see DTU’s strong presence across the programme and engage in discussions on Europe’s technological sovereignty. As Jan Madsen from DTU Compute noted: “Democracy depends on people who can think, and systems they can trust.” Thank you to all our colleagues and partners for contributing to tech that matters, among others: Jan Madsen, Rasmus Larsen, Sara (Pilleriin) Lillemets at DTU Compute Roberto Galeazzi, Matteo Fumagalli, Evangelos Boukas, Nicholas Hansen, Patrizio Mariani at DTU Electro Jimmy Binderup Andersen at Defence Tech Denmark, DTU Science Park #DTUSecurity #DTS2025 #DigitalTechSummit #TechForSecurity

“We’ve been busy! Natasha Hougaard and Magnus Stjernborg Koch showcased their start-up, SKJOLDET, at the Digital Tech Summit. Companies and individuals stopped by their stand with keen interest or listened in as Natasha presented SKJOLDET on the start-up stage. SKJOLDET has developed a tool that protects users from fraudulent websites. In May, the start-up was celebrated as the winner of the Student Start-up of the Year award at DTU’s annual party. Just a few months ago, they joined Innovationsfonden's start-up programme, Innofounder, giving them the financial stability to develop their business idea 🌟 Both Co-founders studied at DTU Compute! #startup #dkforsk #cybersecurity

Line came up with the idea: If universities were to offer PhDs in entrepreneurship, they could attract candidates who dream of starting their own business. These candidates would gain deep technological and scientific insight, while the courses along the way could be tailored towards entrepreneurship. 𝗦𝗼, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸?
