🌿 #OrganicInnovationDays #OID2025: What a week in #Brussels! 🤩 From 3 to 5 November, nearly 200 participants from across #Europe gathered for this year’s Organic Innovation Days, under the theme “Research & Innovation for Organic Food and Farming: Triple Lead for Sustainable Food System”. 🌱The event once again confirmed that #research and #innovation are the backbone of the #organic movement and key drivers of the transition towards sustainable food systems. 💡The event opened with the TP Organics Stakeholder Forum, where over 50 members aligned on shared research and innovation priorities, reviewed advocacy and collaboration activities, and elected a new Steering Committee. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this vibrant exchange! 🌾On 4 November, the Organic Innovation Days officially kicked off with a keynote speech by Henri Delanghe (European Commission) on the role of EU-funded research in advancing the organic and agroecological transition of our food and farming system. 🎉A major highlight was the launch of TP Organics’ new Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (#SRIA) for Organics and Agroecology, a collective vision setting out the sector’s priorities for the years ahead. 📃💭🌱🍽️🌍 🗣️After a lively networking lunch, a high-level policy debate with Susana Gaona Sáez and Hans-Joerg Lutzeyer (European Commission) and Ivana Trkulja (ICROFS - International Centre for Research in Organic Food Systems/CORE Organic) explored future opportunities for #organic R&I and how to anchor these priorities in the upcoming EU R&I framework programme #FP10. 🎊We also celebrate the winners from the contest organised by the #OrganicAdviceNetwork project. Congratulations to the Normandy Chamber of Agriculture and the Community Supported Agriculture Network Germany! 👏👏 🪴The final day, dedicated to the Horizon Europe project #OrganicTargets4EU, explored pathways to reach the #EU target of 25% organic land and expand organic aquaculture by 2030. Engaging presentations, scenario discussions, and a lively world café showcased the power of collaboration and evidence-based policy to shape the future of organic farming. In the afternoon, Gijs Schilthuis (European Commission) reflected on the project’s policy impact, while Eric Gall (IFOAM Organics Europe) closed the event by emphasising the importance of evidence-based research, strong networks, and collective action in shaping the future of organic farming. 💚A huge thank you to all participants, speakers, and members who made this year’s edition a success. Together, we are driving research and innovation for a more sustainable and resilient European food system! #OrganicInnovationDays #OID2025 #TPOrganics #OrganicTargets4EU #EUResearch #OrganicAdviceNetwork #EU #OrganicResearch #foodsystem Maria Gernert Karim Jouhari Eduardo Cuoco Boglárka Bozsogi Ambra De Simone Claire Morelle Giulia Pecoraro
