Time-resolved experiments are powerful and information rich, but are difficult to integrate with MD simulations The dynamic duo, Carl G. Henning Hansen and Simone Orioli, developed a version of Bayesian-Maximum Entropy reweighting that uses time-dependent priors from low-dimensional representations of MD simulations The key idea is that one of the most easily accessible pieces of information from experiments is the timescale, and so we argue that simulations are better used to interpret mechanisms than to predict timescales We demonstrate tr-BME using tr-SAXS experiments but the method is general. The case of Denmark ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dvu5Sejx Results and discussion Currently, approximately 4% of materials in new buildings are replaced with reused components, a figure that could rise to 27% nationally under the optimistic scenario. In some municipalities, the reuse potential could exceed 80%. Present reuse and recycling practices reduce environmental impacts by about 8%, but under optimal conditions, this could increase to 22%, with reductions reaching up to 70% in certain regions. Detached houses and commercial buildings were identified as the key drivers of these benefits. Conclusions This research underscores the transformative potential of ambitious reuse strategies while highlighting the need for tailored approaches that consider regional and typological differences. Advancing material reuse policies and systems can play a pivotal role in fostering sustainability in the construction industry. We should avoid demolishing buildings. 2️⃣ Materials usually serv best in the current buildings. 3️⃣ When demolished- materials should be reused or recycled if they are not polluted . #Wilmasreview Wilma 🐶 recently recommended an article by Ane-Kathrine Lundberg Hansen, Christian Bøtcher Jacobsen and Vita Ligaya Ponce Dalgaard for a big Danish municipality, and she now thinks that the readers of her review can benefit from reading it too. Most public organizations work hard to improve the well-being of the employees, decreasing the span of control to increase leadership quality and thus employee well-being.
