ARK Alliance Expression of Interest Form
Archival Resource Keys (ARKs) serve as persistent identifiers, or basically web addresses (URLs) that don’t return 404 Page Not Found errors. The ARK Alliance is an open global community supporting the ARK infrastructure on behalf of research and scholarship. The open ARK infrastructure consists of standards, best practices, the N2T.net resolver, and the registry of organizations that create ARKs. Current ARK Alliance efforts include:
- Sustainability and new development, in consultation with its working groups and advisory group,
- Developing procedures for shared maintenance of the organizational registry,
- Consulting with the wider ARK community on requirements, priorities and models for shared community and infrastructure management,
- Guiding the ARK specification through the IETF Informational RFC process, as well as,
- Participating in an initiative to gauge the scope of ARK usage world-wide.
If you would like to participate in these initiatives, please fill out the form below.
