In the context of our coming 25th anniversary in 2025, we want to bring together community members to engage and co-create with our REST API and the scholarly metadata therein, and foster innovation and creativity, solve real-world problems, and promote networking and collaboration. We welcome librarians, research integrity experts, scientometricians, meta-scientists, coders and engineers interested in improving community-led infrastructure and any open scholarly infrastructure enthusiasts. Examples of topics that you can work on include (but are not limited to):
Integrity of the scholarly record - what signals and patterns of lack of integrity can be detected using scholarly metadata?
Quality and completeness - tools and strategies to assess and enhance the quality and completeness of the scholarly metadata.
Metadata for everyone - making interacting with our REST API easier and more accessible.
Metadata by everyone - tools to help the community contribute to the scholarly record in various ways.
Outside the box - projects that don’t fit any of the above themes.
You can also pitch us your project. If you don’t have a technical or code-oriented background but are interested in open infrastructure, we also encourage you to register.
There is a limited number of 30 participants. We aim to hold this event in April 2025, so make sure your preparations are in place.
