Back Analysis of EU-27 household final consumption expenditure — Baltic countries and Greece still suffering most from the economic and financial crisis - Issue number 2/2013


As consumption is a key indicator on citizen's well-being, this article analyses data on the evolution and structure of final consumption expenditure over the past decade. A main finding is that the Baltic states and Greece were most severely affected by the last economic and financial crisis, with a loss of actual individual consumption of 12 % to 15% between 2008 and 2011.
