Swiss Banking - The Deposit Token The Swiss Bankers Association (SBA), in collaboration with PostFinance, Sygnum Bank, and UBS, conducted a Proof of Concept (PoC) to evaluate the feasibility of a blockchain-based Deposit Token. The initiative tested whether tokenized deposits could support secure, interoperable, and programmable transactions on public blockchains while remaining fully compliant with Swiss financial regulations. The PoC lays the groundwork for a standardized, multi-bank infrastructure for blockchain-based financial services in Switzerland and demonstrates the potential for banks to offer programmable payment solutions without compromising the integrity of the traditional banking model.

Two and a half years ago, we set out to bring the Euro onto the blockchain. Fast forward, AllUnity our joint venture with Galaxy Digital and Flow Traders, has issued #EURAU today — the first fully regulated, Euro-denominated stablecoin out of Germany. This is more than just another new product in the market. It’s a foundational step towards a more efficient financial system.
