The Third Tripartite Meeting, held last week, brought together African Union Member States, the AU Commission (AUC), and international partners to strengthen collaboration under the new Joint Framework Arrangement (JFA),a coordination and financing mechanism that streamlines partner engagement, aligns support with the AU’s Strategic Plan (2024–2028), and promotes transparency, predictability, and shared accountability for results. The meeting concluded with a renewed call to action to accelerate the delivery of #Agenda2063, ensuring Africa’s shared commitments translate into tangible results for its people.

The 8th Session of the Specialized Technical Committee (STC) on Finance, Monetary Affairs, Economic Planning and Integration concluded with a strong call for Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors to take forward the recommendations on debt, domestic resource mobilization, health financing, and Africa’s common position in global financial reforms. The meeting reaffirmed the urgency of accelerating the establishment of the African Union Financial Institutions, strengthening Africa’s credit rating agency. These efforts are central to ensuring that Agenda 2063’s goals of financial sovereignty and inclusive growth are realized.
