Hello I have bunch of servers running ISPConfig3 with hundreds of websites. And I want to convert all that mess to multiserver setup. Is there any way to change status of those instances to one master and bunch of slaves? I know how to do it by migrating every single website to nodes that are already set up as multiserver but it will require soo much time to do and so much hassle with client DNS and other connected services connected to each site. It's close to thousand sites. I can clear one server to reinstall cleanly as master but I can't afford to migrate all of them since they are very different so I can't just mighte one to another unless I buy twin of each server. And even then migration will be nightmare. I am willing to spend some time on it, so if you can provide some places where to look for colliding IDs or something, it would be very helpfull. Edit: I have one server that is spare that can be new master and one huge server that can be first slave. I might be able to migrate rest of the sites to new servers or between them to rebuild rest of the setup. Instalation of the master is easy but converting single node to slave seem to be problem judging by the discussions. But my line of thinking is: If I have empty master, I can import first node without any collision since there are no clients/sites to be collided with. Is it possible?
I just finished migrating my ISPConfig web server from bare metal to a vm, but mine is just a few.
