As mentioned in the title, I was running nvidia’s latest proprietary linux drivers: 575.64 (open source almost never worked on my PC)
I can’t get both monitors to give their maximum refresh rate with DSC enabled, it will only work for the first plugged in to the GPU.
I was attempting this on Hyprland ArchLinux, also tried on Nobara Gnome, to no success.
My current setup is:
7950X3D
4090
64GB
PG27UCDM (3840x2160@240 with DSC enabled, connected to the 4090)
PG27UCDP (2560x1440@480 with DSC enabled, connected to the last DP port of the 4090, to keep 480hz after reboot on Windows)
M28U (3840x2160@144 connected to the iGPU as I’m using all the internal 4090 heads)
This works on Windows, however on Linux, the first monitor will work fine, but the second one will be limited, in this case, the 480hz monitor will be stuck at 360hz, unless I plug it first, which will cause the 2160p240 monitor to get stuck at 120hz.
If I force high refresh rate on the hyprland config file, the 480hz monitor will get its resolution set to 1080p.
