Jetson Nano 4GB eMMC Module Not Booting Properly on Seeed Studio reComputer J101 Carrier Board

Dear Technical Support Team,

I am writing to raise a serious technical issue regarding the NVIDIA Jetson Nano 4GB eMMC module in combination with the Seeed Studio reComputer J101 carrier board.

We have attempted multiple times to flash and boot the Jetson Nano module using the reComputer J101 carrier board. We have carefully followed every step provided in the official Seeed Studio Wiki, including flashing the correct images via NVIDIA SDK Manager and applying the required BSP files specific to the J101 board.

Despite meticulously following all the documented procedures and ensuring proper DIP switch settings for both flashing and booting, the module fails to boot correctly. In the end, we only see a static NVIDIA logo image on the display, with no further progress toward system boot or desktop environment.

This issue persists after multiple re-flashing attempts and hardware checks. We find ourselves unable to proceed further without proper system functionality. It is highly frustrating and disappointing given the amount of time invested following your official guidelines.

We request immediate and thorough technical support from both NVIDIA and Seeed Studio to:

  1. Investigate the root cause of this boot failure.
  2. Provide detailed troubleshooting guidance or corrections (if needed) to the provided flashing procedures and BSP files.
  3. Suggest any additional steps or provide an updated BSP, if applicable.

Kindly treat this as a high-priority case and assist us in resolving this issue at the earliest possible time. We are available to provide further details, logs, or serial console output if required.

Looking forward to your urgent response.

Hi,

Actually none of this really much matters here. Please do share:

  1. Provide your boot log from UART serial console.

  2. Tell us what you really did on your side by telling us your commands or how you flashed the board.

If you want others to check the issue, then above information is the basic items to provide.

Please be aware that we won’t really debug a custom board fully as that is from other vendor. But I can at least tell you what makes your boot failure now.
