𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞! The Green Choice Philippines (GCP) proudly announces the launch of the Ecolabelling Criteria for Steel Products.  — developed by PCEPSDI through the EcoAdvance Project, a collaborative effort between the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), GIZ, and Öko-Institut, receiving financial support from the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) through the International Climate Initiative (IKI). This new set of criteria provides the building and construction industry with a science-based framework to assess and certify steel products that meet rigorous performance, safety, and sustainability standards. The criteria cover 𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 including: - Flat Steel Products (Roofing) - Long Steel Products (Rebars and Equal Leg Angle) - Steel Pipes (BI and GI) - Structural Shapes (H-Beam, I-Beam, W-Flange, Sheet Piles, Steel Plates) - Low Relaxation Seven-Wire Steel Strand Prestressed Concrete By aligning with national regulations and global sustainability trends, the GCP Criteria encourages the steel industry to adopt practices that minimize emissions, optimize water use, and promote responsible material sourcing. Here we grow. Velkommen SKI - Staten og Kommunernes Indkøbsservice A/S from Denmark has joined the Circular & Fair ICT (CFIT) Pact as a procuring participant! From the very first conversation, it was clear that this collaboration is more than just a shared vision. The alignment between SKI and CFIT reflects a common understanding of what strategic public procurement can achieve. Together, we see procurement as more than a way to manage contracts, it can shape markets, guide supply chains, and support sustainable outcomes across borders 💫 As Denmark’s central public procurement organization, SKI manages around three percent of public sector transactions on behalf of more than 1000 organizations. Roughly two-thirds of its procurement focuses on ICT, highlighting SKI’s extensive experience in managing public sector contracts and digital services. SKI’s agreements include environmental and social criteria, guiding suppliers to balance performance with responsibility. By participating in CFIT, SKI extends its influence beyond Denmark, working with peer organizations to address complex sustainability challenges internationally. Through this collective effort, CFIT participants are demonstrating how shared expertise and ambition can use procurement to drive change in the ICT sector. Together, they are helping ICT suppliers adopt more sustainable practices and showing how coordinated, expert-led action can shape the sector. Thank you, Tak! This week, Tashkent hosted the Global Ecolabelling Network Annual Meeting (GEN AGM 2025) — the first-ever held in Central Asia. Organized by the GEN Secretariat and the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan, the event has gathered over 60 delegates from 25 countries, including leaders of national ecolabelling systems and international experts. 🎥 Laetitia Montero Lead of the One Planet network - 10YFP Consumer Information Programme, shares her insights in a short video message highlighting the importance of the conference. How Finland is leading the way in sustainable tourism. ✈️ Excited to share a new Q&A with Liisa Kokkarinen from Visit Finland on Finland's Climate Action Plan as a signatory of the Glasgow Declaration for Action on Tourism. Since signing in 2022, Visit Finland has mobilized the Finnish tourism sector around efforts for climate action in tourism.
