🌦️ AI meets weather forecasting, and the CAIRNE Research Network is part of the journey The AI Weather Quest, organised by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts - ECMWF and endorsed by the World Meteorological Organization, brings together the global AI and meteorology communities to tackle one of the hardest challenges in prediction science: forecasting 3 to 4 weeks ahead. By applying cutting-edge machine learning, participants are helping to push the boundaries of sub-seasonal weather forecasting. There are already 33 international teams involved in this growing initiative, including several from organisations within the CAIRNE Research Network.
