Earlier this month, our Saint-Bauzile site, set in the volcanic landscapes of Ardèche, opened its doors to more than 300 visitors for two days of exploration, learning, and fun! 🎉 Curious to know what makes this site unique?👇 🪨 Diatomite - the site’s mineral, is a sedimentary rock formed from the accumulation of fossilized diatom shells. The deposit formed 8 million years ago. 🏭 It produces enough diatomite every year to meet 20% of Europe’s demand. ➡️ It joined Imerys in January 2025 following the acquisition of Chemviron’s diatomite and perlite business in France and Italy. We’re taking another major step toward our decarbonization goals. We’ve signed a 10-year Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) with ENGIE to produce 200 GWh of renewable electricity per year in Spain, which will contribute to reducing our global Scope 2 emissions in Continental Europe by 14% by 2028. This milestone joins similar agreements in the U.S. and China — accelerating our path to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030 (2021 baseline).
