𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐭-𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐚 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫! Earlier this September, our teams completed a rehearsal of mechanical assembly operations, aka "fit-check" of the #Maia launcher at our Proto-Factory in Vernon — a key step in preparing for future flight models and industrial-scale production. This full-scale integration of #Maia (over 50 meters tall and 3.5 meters in diameter) involved the sequential assembly of: 🔷 The Multi Engine Bay 🔷 The Main Stage 🔷 The Inter Stage Structure (ISS) 🔷 The Upper Stage 🔷 And finally, one Landing Leg prototype This key operation allowed us to: ✅ Validate all mechanical interfaces between main structures ✅ Confirm the integration sequence and optimize workspace efficiency for future assemblies ✅ Test and validate torque tightening techniques for all bolted joints ✅ Validate operationnal performance of some tailored-built handling tools With this milestone achieved, MaiaSpace is gearing up build for first flight models integration — and paving the way toward industrial-scale production, targeting around 20 launches per year by the early 2030s in our future Maia Factory, set to be operational by 2027.

🚀 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐢 𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤-𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞! This summer – and into early September – MaiaSpace team successfully completed key milestones in the development of the Colibri kick-stage. 🔥 🔥 With two engines connected and fired simultaneously, not only did we validate the engines behavior planned for the first flight of the kick-stage, we also learned how to master the dance of several engines working as one with the correct spacing. These results are key to shape how we operate the kick-stage equipped with a cluster of engines in the harsh reality of space. In parralel, we successfully completed a full mechanical environmental testing campaign - covering both vibration and acoustic tests - at the Thales Alenia Space facilities in Cannes – ensuring every piece of hardware is ready for space. 👏 Huge congratulations and thanks to the entire MaiaSpace team and to our partners Łukasiewicz - ILOT, Thaliana Space and Thales Alenia Space for their exceptional work!

𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝟑 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 “𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞”. For this Novaspace #WSBW2025 edition, we were extremely pleased to welcome for the first time a large group of our dear customers to MaiaSpace’s facilities in Vernon, where all our prototypes, and eventually the first several flight models, are integrated and tested. They could see first-hand the fully assembled 2 stages of the launch vehicle, as well as our 3 different tests zones used for the Upper stage, the interstage structure and the Colibri kick-stage. Other key highlights of WSBW 2025: 🔊 Intense discussions with dozens of customers and many more participants to the conference in the beautiful Hôtel du Collectionneur in Paris; 🚀 A focus on Reusability by our CEO Yohann Leroy during the panel “Fly. Land. Repeat” alongside Stoke Space, PLD Space and Dassault Aviation. He highlighted how reusability, which needs to be integrated in earliest design of a launch vehicle, is key to capture a larger market segment to reach the critical size to be economically viable and competitive, as well as the importance to master scalable technologies able to be implemented on launchers of various size to prepare the future of Europe’s long-term access to space. 🍸 A friendly customer cocktail in a Guyanese atmosphere in the heart of Paris, to better project ourselves into 2026 when our first launch will occur from the former Soyuz launch pad in the Guiana Space Center.    Stayed tuned for many more updates to come!

𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝! Mid-August, MaiaSpace Team completed a 6-month, intensive test campaign to better narrow mechanical resistance and margins of our tank design. Following our “test & learn” approach, more than 15 rupture tests were performed on scaled-down tank models (aka "baby tanks"), validating wall thickness, weld types, bulkhead pass-through configurations, doubler design... Our goal was to validate the maximum pressure before failure, as well as tanks’ behavior under high loads. Using sensors and strain gauges, we captured real-time data on deformation and diameter variation, which we correlated with our mechanical models. These tests were part of our 2025 mechanical validation plan ahead of Flight#1 preparation, and provided key insights into rupture thresholds or overall structural behavior—valuable data that will guide our next design improvements. Kudos to the entire team and partners! #Engineering #TestLearn #MechanicalDesign #Innovation

𝑺𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒅𝒔 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 – 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒆𝒕, 𝒊𝒕’𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒔𝒐 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆. The aerospace sector is incredibly demanding. It pushes the boundaries of what we know and what we can do, every single day. In such a high-stakes, high-complexity environment, cooperation isn't a luxury — it's a necessity. This is why key MaiaSpacers attended last month the EUCASS 2025 conference - chaired by the iconic MaiaSpacer Christophe BONNAL - in Rome, Italy. The occasion to share their work with the aerospace science community and get insight in the latest advances in the field: ✔️ “𝐴𝑡𝑚𝑜𝑠𝑝ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑐 𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑟𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑜𝑟𝑏𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑜𝑏𝑗𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑠 – 𝑐𝑎𝑛 “𝑑𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑔𝑛 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑛𝑜𝑛-𝑑𝑒𝑚𝑖𝑠𝑒” 𝑏𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑜𝑝𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑙 𝑠𝑜𝑙𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛?” ▶️ With the expected increase of launch activities, poised to multiply satellite and launch vehicles’s upper stages re-entries, Antoinette Ott addressed several knowledge gaps to allow responsible design and operations. Coordinated in-situ measurements, high-fidelity simulations and harmonized indicators will give decision-makers quantitative data to help balance safety and environmental performance. ✔️ “𝐴𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑦𝑧𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑓𝑙𝑢𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑎𝑛 𝑎𝑑𝑑𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑙 𝑘𝑖𝑐𝑘-𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑔𝑒 𝑜𝑛 𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑓𝑙𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑓𝑖𝑙𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑎 𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑢𝑛𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑟” ▶️ In this study, Rémi Guinard analyzed the gain on performance and mission flexibility bought by the addition of the Colibri kick-stage Colibri vs the constraints on the launch vehicle architecture (impacts on the staging and the propulsion needs, flight safety requirements). Global optimization on both the Maia launcher and the Colibri kick-stage from early design allows to increase competitiveness on precise, tailored smallsats market segments.  ✔️ “𝐷𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑙𝑜𝑝𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐺𝑁𝐶 𝑎𝑙𝑔𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑡ℎ𝑚𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑙𝑎𝑢𝑛𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑁𝑒𝑤𝑆𝑝𝑎𝑐𝑒” ▶️ In this paper, Nicole Segala explores how MaiaSpace adapts traditional GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) development methods to meet the fast-paced, agile demands of the newspace launcher environment — emphasizing pragmatic, flexible solutions across both architecture and algorithms.  Sharing knowledge, technical insights, and best practices across organizations and borders, building bridges between industry and academia, is an essential condition for building affordable, responsible and sustainable access to space.
