As Europe faces the dual challenge of achieving resource sovereignty and rapid decarbonisation amid geopolitical and climate pressures, making the transition to circular products and services is essential. Do Well Do Good's white paper, “Accelerating B2B Circularity in Europe”, presents six concrete recommendations to help European and national authorities unlock the full potential of B2B circular economy. While some of its recommendations may appear self-evident, the paper emphasises that these foundational measures are still not in place in most of Europe and that they constitute the necessary baseline to launch an effective and lasting transformation toward circularity. The six recommendations to European and national authorities are to: 1️⃣ Establish a harmonised and complete EU glossary for circular economy 2️⃣ Launch a coordinated EU-wide campaign to raise awareness 3️⃣ Progressively develop a circular VAT scheme at EU-level 4️⃣ Support job creation in circular sectors through targeted social contributions relief and trainings 5️⃣ Limit the trade of used goods and secondary critical materials outside the EU to secure EU resource loops 6️⃣ Ensure public procurement leads by example in terms of circularity Thank you to the 40+ circular economy experts who contributed their insights through interviews, discussions, and collaboration. 🔗 Read the full whitepaper here: https://lnkd.in/eGRutBsJ Mino Yamamoto Stephen Haentjens Sébastien villette Laurence Fontinoy Anne James Xavier Meyer Geoffrey Richard Pierre-Emmanuel Saint-Esprit Patricia Lorton Erwan Faoucher Emmanuelle Bru Flore Boinot-Raffegeau Timothée Macé Dubois Valentin Fournel Chrysostomos Adamidis Circular Economy Alliance Mathilde BERNARD DE LAVERNETTE, Ph.D Axel Darut Manon Assier Jean-Baptiste Prono Rémi Cornubert Thibault Lerouge Joanna Ferriere Raffaele DUBY Ruth Kilsby Guillaume Babule Melissa Tonin Hakima Ghersbraham Diana de Bernardy Nicolas Pauvre Maxime Beysecker Hugo Conzelmann Amélie Vaz Catherine Chevauché Martina Prox Luca Emmanuello Roger Ebengou Julie Allagnat Laurent Bocahut - Peftrust® Clemence Liebert #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #GreenTransition #CircularAwareness #DoWellDoGood #Policy #Innovation #EU #ClimateAction

What if waste could literally save the planet? 🥥 Every year, billions of coconut shells are burned as waste… while millions of trees are cut down just to make wooden shipping pallets. But one man Michiel Vos decided to flip that equation. He founded CocoPallet International B.V., turning waste coconut shells into durable, 100% biodegradable pallets potentially saving 200 million trees per year Now that’s circular thinking in action. At Terrablu, we believe this is exactly how the next generation of climate-tech founders will reshape the global economy by transforming waste into opportunity and carbon data into climate intelligence. 💡 Our proprietary SaaS & Blockchain-based Carbon Marketplace empowers businesses to: ✅Measure, manage, and reduce their emissions using global standards ✅Seamlessly integrate with existing systems via smart APIs ✅Trade verified carbon credits with full transparency ✅Work towards Net Zero with precision and impact With 5.6M+ tons of emissions already assessed, we’re proud to partner with innovators, MSMEs, and global enterprises who want to go beyond compliance and lead the movement toward real, measurable sustainability. Because when technology meets purpose waste becomes wealth, and carbon becomes opportunity. If you’re building for a greener tomorrow, we’d love to help power your sustainability journey. www.terrablu.life #CircularEconomy #ClimateTech #Terrablu #NetZero

8 Steps to Integrate SDGs into Business Strategy 🌍 The SDGs can serve as a useful framework for companies aiming to advance sustainability through structured and measurable action. The first step is to prioritize. Identify which goals are most relevant to the company’s sector, value chain, and stakeholder expectations. Then align these priorities with strategic objectives so that sustainability supports competitiveness and long-term performance. Set goals that translate ambition into concrete targets across environmental, social, and governance dimensions. Embed these commitments in governance, policies, and operational decisions to ensure they inform how business choices are made. Innovate through products, services, and models that contribute to sustainability outcomes while generating business value. Engage employees, partners, and investors to expand ownership and collaboration around these priorities. Measure performance using recognized frameworks to ensure progress is credible and comparable. Report and improve by communicating both achievements and tradeoffs, refining actions through evidence and feedback. The SDGs can help companies connect sustainability efforts to global priorities and internal value creation. How can businesses use the SDGs to guide sustainability strategies while managing the tradeoffs inherent in real-world decision-making? #sustainability #esg

The GHG Protocol has released its first set of proposed updates to the Scope 2 Guidance, marking the most significant changes since 2015. The revisions aim to strengthen the integrity, consistency, and feasibility of corporate electricity accounting under both the location-based and market-based methods. Key proposed updates include: Location-based method: - Updated emission factor hierarchy and a new requirement to use the most precise, accessible emission factor—defined as publicly available, free to use, and from a credible source. Market-based method: - Introduction of hourly matching, requiring all energy attribute certificates to align generation and consumption on an hourly basis. - New deliverability criteria, requiring certificates to come from generation deemed physically deliverable to the reporting entity. - Guidance on Standard Supply Service (SSS) to limit claims to an entity’s pro-rata share of grid supply. - Updated residual mix definitions, including the use of fossil-only rates where residual data are unavailable. Implementation measures - Load profiles to translate annual or monthly consumption data into hourly data. - Exemption thresholds and a legacy clause to account for smaller organizations and existing long-term investments. - Phased implementation to facilitate a manageable transition. These updates signal a shift toward more granular electricity accounting—requiring companies to consider 24/7 hourly emissions matching for market-based Scope 2 reporting and to evaluate the deliverability and provenance of renewable energy procurement. The public consultation is now open, and the GHG Protocol will host a webinar on October 27 to provide an overview of the proposed revisions and gather stakeholder feedback. Embedding Sustainability into Organizational Culture Cheat Sheet 🌍 Every organization reflects the logic of its culture. It appears in the questions leaders ask, the trade-offs they accept, and the goals they reward. Embedding sustainability means influencing that logic and integrating it into how choices are made and how value is defined. It begins with direction. When leadership connects sustainability to long term priorities, it changes what the organization pays attention to. Governance provides continuity. Decision frameworks, accountability systems, and reporting lines determine whether sustainability shapes real outcomes. Cultural assessment is the moment of honesty. It shows where sustainability aligns with daily behaviors and where it remains aspirational. Execution gives the idea substance. Clear indicators, shared objectives, and collaboration across functions allow sustainability to become part of performance discussions. People define credibility. Recognition, capacity building, and peer influence determine whether sustainability feels authentic or imposed. Champions act as connectors, linking strategic intent with operational reality and translating principles into daily choices. Momentum grows through engagement. Dialogue, reflection, and shared learning maintain focus when priorities compete. Embedding sustainability into culture is an exercise in coherence. It aligns decisions, incentives, and beliefs with the future the organization aims to build. #sustainability #esg

Sustainability still matters! The 2025 State of Supply Chain Sustainability report, a new release from the MIT, confirms that corporate commitment to sustainability remains resilient. However, it also highlights a significant 'execution gap' between strategy and daily practice. The report shows that public goals drive action as 80% of businesses believe sustainability is important for long-term success, only 39% have integrated it into routine operational decision-making. Companies with publicly stated goals are 74% more likely to invest in high-impact initiatives. Scope 3 emissions often over 75% of a company's total footprint remain the biggest challenge. The top barrier emerged in Scope 3 is measurement barrier is a lack of data from suppliers. The top reduction barrier for the companies aspiring to achieve targets is unclear return on investment. The biofuels and battery-electric solutions are seen as the most practical near-term transition, while hydrogen for heavy-duty, long-haul transport. The report shows the conversation is shifting from if sustainability matters to how to execute it, with a clear focus on data, supplier collaboration, and technology to close the gap between intent and impact. #SupplyChainSustainability #ESG #Scope3 #Decarbonization #Logistics #Freight #Sustainability #biofuels #EV #SBTI
