🌍 How does Veolia encourage a culture of risk to invent the industry of the future (2050)? This is the question that the Future Generations Council is working on this year. The Council is a unique framework of #trust and #dialogue between young people coming from 16 different countries and the Group’s executive management. Their reflections dwell on three pressing challenges: 🔹 ensuring local trust, to define the role Veolia wants to play in territories where it operates. 🔹 operating within planetary limits, by rethinking innovation not only as a driver of growth, but as a process bounded by ecological thresholds and accountable for its broader impacts. 🔹 and turning uncertainty into a driver of resilience and long-term value creation. Launched in April 2025, this Council is formed by a total of 30 young people, including 15 Veolia employees and 15 external personalities from all over the world, aged between 20 and 30 years old, who can put forward concrete ideas and propositions to accelerate the implementation of #EcologicalTransformation. Each member of this Council represents a generation that understands the environmental and social challenges of our century: they are all ready to take action for real change to a desirable and engaging #future. Those ambassadors are bringing bold, audacious and younger viewpoints to feed into the strategic thinking of the Group’s senior executive team. A real game changer for the Group! The Future Generations Council complements Veolia’s existing mechanisms for consulting with its #stakeholders, such as the Critical Friends (a committee of independent experts), +1 collectives, or the Ecological Transformation Barometer. This platform ensures that the Group keeps exploring innovative ideas supporting its purpose with experts and civil society 🤝 A real proof of Veolia’ strong relationships with its stakeholders! 🔗 Learn more about the Future Generations Council: https://lnkd.in/ea6ga2pR Xingpei YAO Jonathan Jo Natalie Sum Yue Chung, CESGA Qiyun Woo Fatema Naser Neeshad Shafi Elsy T. 💡 #Hydrogène : mythe ou réalité ?

[Press release] Long-standing partners TotalEnergies and Veolia have signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in several key areas of energy transition and circular economy, to reduce their greenhouse gases emissions and water footprint. Veolia is studying the deployment of TotalEnergies’ AUSEA, a pioneering technology using drones to measure methane emissions, to conduct measurement campaigns at its landfills, with a target of 80% capture by 2032. Veolia will also support TotalEnergies in reducing freshwater withdrawals by 20% by 2030 at sites located in areas of water stress and improving water discharge quality. Just a few weeks after the signing of a major agreement between Veolia and SATORP (co-owned by Saudi Aramco and TotalEnergies) in Saudi Arabia, both companies will develop wastewater reuse projects and deploy Veolia technologies on TotalEnergies sites. TotalEnergies will support Veolia in accelerating the deployment of low-carbon energy solutions at desalination plants built or operated by Veolia. The partners have already jointly built the largest solar power plant for a seawater desalination facility in Oman. Finally, both companies will pool their research and innovation capabilities to recover strategic materials such as rare earths from waste. "I am very pleased with the agreement signed today with TotalEnergies: by combining our expertise, whether in sustainable water management, the circular economy or the reduction of methane emissions, we are putting our innovation capabilities at the service of the ecological transformation and the competitiveness of our industries" said Estelle Brachlianoff, CEO of Veolia. 🔗 Read the press release: https://lnkd.in/epTemKA6 #EcologicalTransformation

🇫🇷 Four and last stage in Veolia's Tour de France for #water, in Nîmes in the south of France, a region committed to sustainable and responsible water management. Proof of this is the wastewater treatment plant of #Nîmes, a strategic facility that is fully in line with the circular economy approach at the service of the agglomeration and its inhabitants. 🔹 65.000 m³ of water are recycled each year, preserving the groundwater that is essential to the region’s water supply 🔹 Sewage sludge is used to produce green, local, carbon-free energy. 🔹 Water consumption is monitored in real time using remote water meter reading technology. The water crisis is real, as confirmed by a French survey conducted by the Institut Terram, which sheds light on citizens' perception of the water situation in France. In the Occitanie region, the population's concerns are higher than the national average. For example: - 52% of the local population is concerned about access to drinking water (compared to 44% in France); - 70% of the local population is concerned about water-related issues (compared to 65% in France); - 36% of local respondents cite droughts as the most important aspect of the water crisis (compared to 25% in France). However, the French have confidence in the water industry (60%), and the majority are in favor of innovative solutions to turn these challenges into opportunities. 💡 What is Tour de France for water? Initiated in March by Estelle Brachlianoff, CEO of Veolia, this innovative project is a way of raising public awareness and fostering #dialogue on the issue of water, which has become a vital challenge and a major concern for citizens. The aim of this unprecedented initiative is to meet citizens, local elected representatives and industries, and to jointly develop sustainable #solutions for preserving water in the face of climate change. #EcologicalTransformation Ville de Nîmes Nîmes Métropole Franck Proust Antoine Bristielle Victor Delage

Meet Hermod, an operating tool developed by Veolia that simplifies incineration process simulations! 🖥️ The #digital tool is rolled out in several countries, including the United States and France. ➡️ Originally developed for #water operations and later adapted for liquid and hazardous #waste treatment and recovery sites, Hermod monitoring system collects data from sensors throughout facilities, enabling automated analysis and enhanced operational control. ➡️ Designed as the incinerator’s digital twin, Hermod greatly simplifies incineration process simulations. The technology has proven particularly effective in incineration line monitoring, where it can detect unwanted air intakes and optimize waste loads, potentially increasing treatment capacity by 15-20%. ➡️ Hermod also allows for precise adjustments of operational parameters, reagent usage and ash content, demonstrating Veolia’s commitment to technological innovation and synergies across its water, waste and energy activities. Veolia’s technological innovation strategy seamlessly integrates digital transformation with advanced treatment solutions, positioning the Group at the forefront of global hazardous waste management. #EcologicalTransformation
