@colchicinewf can you share a screenshot of what you did when you saw this? My suspicion is that the command "python.setInterpreter" was turned into the wrong casing (like "Python.setinterpreter") but I don't see anything wrong with the string in code.

meet the same issue, when using ssh-remote extension to connect remote host/containers, if the host has no chinese fonts, python, python debugger won't work, causing python extenstion failed, such as "[Command"Python.setinterpreter"not found]"。 uninstall "MS-CEINTL.vscode-language-pack-zh-hans/名称: Chinese (Simplified) (简体中文) Language Pack for Visual Studio Code" work。

The figure shows that Python and the Python Debugger extension have been installed, but when the Chinese language extension is enabled, the debug button in the debugger interface does not appear, and other python functions such as selecting the Python interpreter and running Python also fail.

我看你上面的图是中文界面，所以“Command"Python.setinterpreter"not found”问题，可能是你的汉化包导致的，把汉化包删了就可以了。
