I can’t get support from community about my issue; It’s about the repo which includes someone’s PII without agreement.

How long did it take to respond when you created a ticket on GitHub? Is this general timeframe?

Seems most are struggling with the same issue? I assume, the account being flagged then your account is useless until support decides to support. I am going on 3 weeks now and will most likely try to consider alternatives now because Github was great until this really slow response time starts ruining client relations... can't risk it. Sad to say, Github may not be the way

Similar issue here - paid my yearly copilot subscription just a few weeks ago, using free plan otherwise. did not exceed any quota but still github tries to bill me every week now. filed a ticket, posted updates - no response or clarification in 4 weeks. Guys from github @canuckjacq @github-staff, you really need to address this!

I have two tickets open, 13 days and 3 days.
One of them is blocking development and seems to be a bug on GitHub itself.

I'm having the same issue. Have had a paid team account for 7-8 years.. with 15 users... and the only ticket ever raised has remained un-responded to in over 3 weeks now, despite numerous followup.

I'm told gitlab has much better support, anybody to confirm that?.
Perhaps it's worth considering the switch... 🤷‍♀️ their CI stuff is pretty stellar...

Github disabled repository actions on my fork with the message:

GitHub Actions is currently disabled for your account. Please reach out to GitHub Support for assistance.

and meanwhile, I can't merge any pull requests because they don't trigger the necessary automated testing.

Unfortunately I think the priority on these issues are low to none. I have two tickets open with no reply. Since my accout is relatively new I wonder if i should just delete and recreate at this point.

Loool @dr-nyt billing issues suck with GitHub. It took about 10 days, but I removed the card and changed to PayPal. I did this severally and something eventually worked and I was able to use PayPal to pay for copilot. Although, that happened long before I got any response from them.

So I got feedback on my bug report after 13 days, stating that it seems resolved, which it was at the time checking, because the automation ran before they checked. I don’t know how to convey this without writing an essay for context… basically too little too late.
And now it probably still doesn’t work, but I don’t care enough to go through this again.

This was the same issue. I added Paypal after I had issues with the card and it refused to work still. 24 hours later, I tried again and it went through.

6 days here, the copilot subscription that i've paid for a year 3 months ago has somehow ended and nobody is there to fix the issue. This isn't a bug or a hard to solve problem, it looks like the support mechanism in here does not work as it should

when i say "this isn't a bug", nobody answers for the ticket and this is the problem. If somebody would have said "this would take 2-3 days to fix it" this would've been totally ok, which is currently not the situation.

Yeah, the support system here is not the greatest. It took me about a month just to solve an issue with emails on GitHub education, to be fair 7 of those days was on me but the rest was just waiting for the initial response, after the initial response it only took a few hours for them to respond to any new messages I sent.

Yay, GitHub responded after 39days and fixed the issue immediately ^^

They had to redirect the issue to NPM that's why it took soo long - I think an improvement would be to give some headup to the user on the steps since waiting over a month is a heck long time.

Dear @github-staff, it's been 56 days for me now, and ticket #3003775 (Submitted from Sep 18) about account recovery for me (https://github.com/greenmg2003) didn't have a response yet. Actions that I have done:

• Checked the security log: Found many spam commit entry and created a lot of unwanted repositories as stated in ticket

We had a ticket that has been now been opened since November with the urgent title Ticket number: #3105025) we still haven't received a response.
There was direct email sent to the support team [[email protected]] and even reopened an old case just hoping for anything from them but very little joy.
Now we are truly stuck with a GitHub account that we can no longer use and tasks we can no longer function.

Their payment page is giving 500 error when I want to upgrade to team.

They are not able to deduct automatically from the card.

Currently in this situation, the team who does support at GitHub simply isn't doing their job if GitHub has it publicly documented that you "get a response within 24 hours" and its been about a week with no response or even no acknowledgement you ever filed it, for a COMPANY ORG.
