On September 26th at APIMONDIA International Federation of Beekeepers' Associations 2025 Congress in Copenhagen we have proudly presented “BeeAutism” Program in the context of our collaboration with the Laboratory of Applied Agriculture (#ApislaB) of the University of Thessaly, member of 1% for the Planet Organization. #BeeAutism constitutes a pioneering initiative that connects #bees, #education, and social #inclusion as five students in the spectrum of autism, have been trained in beekeeping and produced their own honey. The honey will be available for sale through selected pharmacies all over Greece. Alexandros Papachristoforou, Assistant Professor of Applied Agriculture and Director of ApislaB, explained how bees can inspire not only #sustainability but also positive #change in society, opening new horizons for inclusion and #awareness!

🐝🌿 APIVITA SA at #BeeDay Festival 2025 🌿🐝 On September 13–14, at the Mill of Pappas in Larissa, the BeeDay Festival 2025 came alive with music, workshops, talks, and activities celebrating the vital role of bees in #nature and humanity. ✨ At our booth, children discovered the fascinating world of #bees through creative, hands-on activities. ✨ We also highlighted the #BEEAUTISM program, an inspiring initiative of the University of Thessaly & Autism Association of Larissa — supported by APIVITA as part of our #BillionBeesProgram and our participation in 1% for the Planet Organization. Through it, university students on the autism spectrum were trained in beekeeping, producing honey from 10 thriving hives at the University ApislaB. 🌍 We are proud to support initiatives that protect #biodiversity while #empowering people and #communities. 🙏Special thanks to vomvos ecobuzz for organizing this special event! Last week at APIMONDIA International Federation of Beekeepers' Associations 2025 Congress in Copenhagen, our colleague Anastasia Alexandra Vafeiadou presented the Social Return on Investment (#SROI) of the APIVITA SA Billion Bees Program alongside, Valentina Antonia Trikounaki, Vasileios Mitsopoulos, and Theodoros Bellos, from the MBA International, AUEB program. Presenting the SROI analysis of APIVITA Billion Bees Program to the global beekeeping and #sustainability community marked an important milestone — a project with both strong #academic importance and #social significance. This milestone reflected not only the #impact of our program on #bees and #biodiversity, but also the #value it creates for #people, #communities, and the #planet. 🌱
