Undae Science SA has been selected for the Vanguard Accelerator programme. Undae’s product Noctae has the potential to transform sleep disorder diagnostic capacity and contribute to a preventative healthcare model that provides faster treatment. Noctae combines an AI-powered platform, a mobile application and an over-mattress device featuring a unique configuration of sensors. It is capable of detecting sleep disorders with the accuracy of a hospital setting, but in the comfort of the user’s home. The Vanguard accelerator programme is a six-month initiative, offered by Biopôle Lausanne in collaboration with Swiss Healthcare Startups, to help high-potential digital health ventures transform their ideas into market-ready products. “The most successful space companies were founded by non-space entrepreneurs. The journey of INERATEC wouldn‘t have been possible without the early and continued support from European institutions. The European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) believed in our technology when it was still at demonstration scale – their backing via Horizon Europe gave us the confidence to push forward. The funding provided a critical steppingstone in scaling the core technology, and earlier this year the support from EIB and Breakthrough Energy marked the next chapter: Commercialization. Europe is strong in funding R&D and early-stage innovation – but the real challenge lies in scaling. That’s where we are now, and we need to ensure the momentum isn’t lost. ERA ONE is proof that European clean tech leadership is possible. But we’re in a global race. Without targeted support for industrial scale-up, we risk repeating the story of wind and solar. Which are now firmly in the hands of China. We’re counting on leaders like Michiel Scheffer 🟥 to build strong bases to bridge this gap – so that early investments in innovation don’t go to waste. #FuelingtheFuture

Across New Europe, 𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗱𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶™ 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 were launched in this first half of the year, not just installations, but meaningful commitments to safer, more precise, and more equitable care. What’s remarkable is not just the number. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. 𝗪𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗲.  Most of these were 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀, second, third, or even seventh robotic platforms added to existing hospital networks. That tells us one thing: 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹, 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺. And they trust us to keep building on it. 📍 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮: A new public hospital joins the da Vinci community, marking the 4th public program in the country.  📍 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗲 & 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮: Two private hospitals launch new da Vinci programs, expanding access to innovation.  📍 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮: Key accounts deepen their investment, in both technology and partnership. Behind each new program stands a 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲-𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗢𝗙𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗔 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺, from capital sales and field service to clinical training, logistics, and ongoing support. The SOFMEDICA robotic surgery community is growing. This October, five Estonian deep tech startups — MindChip, MYCEEN, RAIKU Packaging, LightCode Photonics, and VARCUS Solutions Ltd. — are heading to Singapore as part of the Nordic Singapore Innovation Days 2025! 💬 According to Kati Pärn, Nordic Partnerships Lead at Startup Estonia, the event will connect Nordic startups with Singaporean corporations and investors to foster business opportunities and partnerships in green and sustainable innovation. “Our aim is to provide Estonian startups operating in the complex and highly competitive deep tech sector with a concrete opportunity to secure new investors, partners, and clients in Asian markets — and to elevate their networks to the next level,” said Pärn. “Singapore offers a unique gateway to Asia, and by joining forces with our Nordic neighbors, we amplify our visibility and impact. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬, 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲. 🛤️ Robotics and automation are no longer optional add-ons: they are redefining the very future of manufacturing. I had the opportunity to share these thoughts in the cover story of Dataquest Magazine’s September edition. AI-driven predictive analytics and advanced robotics are shaping a new era of production — one that is faster, safer, and more reliable, while setting higher benchmarks for quality. In this feature, I highlighted how, for India’s railway sector, embedding intelligent systems in wagon and bogie manufacturing could be as transformative as electrification once was. We at Jupiter Wagons Limited see this not just as a lever of efficiency, but as the foundation for sustainable, safe, and future-ready mobility. The journey, of course, comes with challenges — from developing skilled talent to integrating AI and robotics seamlessly on the shop floor. Yet, the opportunities are immense. Automation and validation-driven engineering are poised to redefine the very standards of reliability in motion. I believe the Indian manufacturing ecosystem stands on the cusp of a new era, where smart technologies and human ingenuity together will drive global competitiveness.
